Chapter 33 Trust our Time

 "Who would you save from dying, Me or your brother?" Jake asked, Jake sat on part of his couch, while his "victim" sat next to him hooked to the computer receiving the results from the lie detector.

Kade was one of the first up, and if course, even though everyone in the room was joking and smiling, Kade couldn't help but wonder if Jake would actually be upset with these a answers, was the video idea of the lie detector test for fun? Or had Jake become suspicious of someone?

Made began sweating a little, what was he suppose to say? He would save his boss over his own flesh and blood? He would obviously save his brother, but what would Jake say if he said he wouldn't save him... "Hello? Kade? We're filming bro! Answer the question" Jake told him while he laughed, his voice sounding perky and playful, Kade smiled and tried seeming relaxed, "Is it something to think THAT hard over," Nathan joked zooming his camera in on Kade's face briefly, "No of course not, my brother obviously- Nathan I'd save you, of course" Kade responded, although on camera everyone looked fine, everyone seemed comfortable, but inside, Kade was getting nervous, did Jake expect him to want to save him? Would he get upset about his answer, did he even care?

"Screw you Nathan!" Jake shouted pointing at him, "Yeah, screw you!"

Anthony echoed him, "Alright, switch out!" Jake said he quickly took the equipment off of Kade, almost "playfully" pushing him out of the seat, Kade smiled a little going to sit next to Nathan now while Jake continued questioning people. The video went on somewhat smoothly, with Jake asking a lot of goofy questions for the vlog, getting a few genuine laughs.

"Bro, this is crazy!" Logan said as he just got done taking his turn, " Your up! " Jake told Erika, Erika paused from laughing, not getting anxious all over again, "Are you sure? I mean, we don't wanna miss the game," Erika argued trying to sound casual, while on the inside she was panicking.

"Babe, it's not till later, sit," Jake told her, Erika slowly and uncomfortably sat down, Jake strapping her in immediately.

Erika's whole body went hot, she was watching Jake intensely. They'd had more of a closeness and intimacy between the two of them lately, and it was getting harder to think of what would happen if Jake found out about what she had done...They had their share of fights, and even took a break before, but as far as Erika knew, they had never cheated on each other, Jake never even seemed to treat another girl decently- although toxic and crazy, they were always loyal.

"Erika! First question; Do you love me?" Jake asked, looking from the laptop to Erika, and though she had openly said it before, hearing Jake ask- even for a game, it felt special, a blush even dusted her cheeks. "Jaaake! Is that even a question?" Erika giggled , *Maybe it is* Erika thought a feeling of guilt going through her.

"Answer it then" Jake shrugged with a smug smile, "Yes," Erika answered, Jake rose his eyebrows at her, before moving on to the next question, "Ohhh! Jerika baby!" Chad shouted happily, making the others laugh . "Is Jerika real?" Jake questioned, "Oh, that one was big for a while," Logan said widening his eyes, "Jake, we're married! Of course it's real!" Erika said shaking her head, blush still on her cheeks: Was Jake asking these questions to be sweet, or did he know?

"SOo that's a yes?" Jake asked, "Yes!" Erika told him laughing, "Alright, last question," Jake said, Erika still giggling, if she wasn't gonna tell Jake what happened back at the cabin, she might as well try to just put it behind her, and focus on bonding with him, cause lately she was having a great time with Jake.

"Have you ever lied to me?" Jake asked, the room was still light and playful, but Erika has stiffened again, she knew Jake, he sounded chill for the vlog, but he had issues with lying, even over small things, he'd even accused her of doing it back when they were dating, it took a lot of convincing, a lot of work to get into this comfortable state of their relationship with all Jake's baggage, but somehow, they had done it.
