Chapter 34 Internal Beast

Jake, Logan and the rest of team ten spent the remainder of the evening finishing up filming and staying in for the Superbowl. While Erika normally enjoyed it a lot more, all the screaming and shouting at the screen only made her jump with anxiety, because ever since they played that lie detector game, and her talk with Jake afterwards, his words and stare was burned into her brain...

"Its going down its a crazy day already, but there's one thing I forgot about!" Jake shouted at his camera, he was in his yard in front of his house, Nathan filmed for him, while he had Chance and Anthony beside him. It was a new day, and Jake was back to filming once again; In the back of his mind he was skeptical of Erika, but every time his paranoia creeped up, he reminded himself all the times he went crazy at Erika, and she had always been telling him the truth and had his best interest in mind... Erika had always told him she was nothing like the other girl he dated, she told him she loved him even when he didn't know how to say it back...

It was a fight within his own mind, but any battle was worth fighting for Erika.

"What's happening bro?" Chance questioned, "Two things actually!" Jake announced, the three of them were practically shouting and running around crazy for the hype of the vlog, "Its Nick Compton's birthday today," Jake told them smirking, "Are we pranking him?" Anthony questioned rubbing his hands together, "No! We are gonna go in there to him though," Jake told them, " What's the other thing bro? " Chance asked, "My dad's coming over!" Jake told them.

The three of them and Nathan had began going into the mansion by now still talking to each other, Jake led them up to his room to retrieve Nicks present. "Did any of you get him anything?" Jake asked making his friends nervously laugh, "Nope," Anthony said, "Not me bro," Chance told him holding his hands up, "Check this, for my birthday, Nick got me shoes, they're too small, so I'm giving them back," And said throwing them back in the box, Chance and Anthony shared a look wincing slightly, because although Jake was bubbly for his camera they are unsure if he was actually mad at Nick for not knowing his shoe size.

They made it into his room, Jake telling them off camera to sing happy birthday "British" accents, always getting a kick out of making fun of it. "Those are the worse accents I've ever heard," Nick chuckled, keeping it chill for the camera, because just like the twins, Nick experienced Jake's love of "teasing" them for their differences. "Here's your present old boy," Jake said thrusting the box in Nicks hands, giving him a rather hard pat on the back, "Wow, thank you," Nick said looking around at them, "We all chipped in," Anthony told him.

Nick began opening it, looking confused, "These are the shoes I got you?" Nick said recognizing the bright red color, "Nope, brand new," Jake assured him grinning, " Well thanks again Jake, Chanthony, Nathan, " Nick said throwing up his hand.

Jake was about to leave to do another but for his vlog, but Nick stopped him, not only was he trying to save his ears from Jake complaining later, but he knew he had to tell Jake about this eventually...

"Jake, wait a minute," Nick said, making Jake turn around arching an eyebrow, "What bro?" Jake questioned, "Ksi's brother," Nick began saying, "Csi, Kfc?" Jake questioned making his friends laugh a little, "Yes- his younger brother made a video about you, he's um, calling you some names," Nick told him, " What did he say?" Jake questioned, as Nick explained Jake's dumb grin twitched, before he went full on "goofy" again.

"What?! First you say Csi has a brother, and now your saying he's calling me the 'P word'? What the heck maaan?!" Jake questioned falling over to the floor for extra dramatics, "What am I gonna dooo?" Jake asked laying out, "You gotta watch it bro!" Chance told him helping him up, "Lets go!" Jake said leaving out.

"Cut the camera's " Jake said after they left Nicks room, Nathan quickly shut off the camera, just as Jake spun around landing a punch into the wall, causing a loud slam to go through the huge house, his teammates to jump, "Jak-" Chance began trying to speak to him, but Jake let out a growl like scream, and stoped him in his tracks. They watched Jake as he went over to the railing on the floor they were on, he began yanking on it, snapping a piece with a loud crack, he kicked that piece down sending it flying through the air before crashing down on the bottom floor in front of their door.
