"There he is! Happy 21st bro!" Logan shouted watching as Jake came into the living room, a blanket wrapped around his shoulders, still wearing his pajamas. It was early morning and most of the house had woken up and were eating breakfast and dressed.

"What's the move today?" Logan asked sitting beside Jake at the kitchen island, "I wanna ride in the snow," Jake informed him his voice coming out stuffy, Logan frowned looking Jake over, it wasn't like him to not be up and ready, especially for his own birthday, he thought about asking, but was certain if Jake would be glad someone cared or irritated someone pointed it out.

"Wanna open your present?" Logan asked holding a box out to him, Jake perked up a little , he placed his phone down before grabbing it, quickly ripping into the thing, making Logan smile at him in slight amusement, loving to see the more normal parts of Jake.

Jake took the gift out of its box, it was a golden frame, with a picture of Jake, a crown on his head, he was standing on the hollywood sign, a slight reflection of fire in his eyes with a bunch of articles about him plastered up to make up the clothes he wore.

Jake held it up with both hands a grown in his face as he looked it over, Logan watched him nervously, Jake was hard to please, he was rich for one, and he always thought someone was trying to insult him when he got anything nice.

"Do you like it?" Logan asked, Jake slowly looked at him, then back at the picture, "Yes," Jake told him, making Logan smile, "I'll put in on my room when we get home," Jake announced, "Haha! I guess I do know you bro!" Logan said happily feeling proud of himself and his far his and Jake's relationship came.

"Thank you," Jake said putting the frame back in its box, Logan was stunned for a moment, not only did Jake actually say he liked something without some kind of snide comment, he actually thanked him for it, Logan knew Jake could be a loose cannon and go off on any and everyone, but the fact that he was trying to actually be nice and not this "boujee" LA jerk, he was use to, was amazing.

"No problem bro!" Logan said patting his shoulder, hearing Jake sniffle, "Hey, uh, you okay?" Logan ventured feeling a little braver, "Nah, I think I'm getting sick," Jake told him, before going to pour himself some orange juice, "Sick? At with gonna be able to ride today?" Logan asked frowning, he suddenly felt bad for Jake, he knew Jake was still being rude to his "friends" and anyone else who had to work with him- or even walk past him, but he was 21 that day, and all he wanted to do was get back to his roots and ride around, although doing that in the snow as probably the worst idea at the moment.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go sleep first, I still have to vlog today, we only have a few more days here, I need to get home and get back to it," Jake told Logan, Logan nodded, "Well feel better bro," He said, watching as Jake downed the orange juice and a a head pill, " Let me know if I can do anything, " He finished, "Aight'" Jake responded before walking away.

"MOVE!" Jake screamed at the side of Nicks head, as he accidentally got in Jake's way, while I'm a conversation, "M-my apologies," Nick quickly said moving away rattled, Jake looked him from head to foot scoffing, "What? No "Happy Birthday Jake"?" Jake questioned in anger, "O-oh,happy birthday Jake," Nick said smiling uncomfortably, Jake spat at him making Nick flinch, "Next time sound more sincere! You fat freak," Jake grumbled ,his voice extra raspy due to getting sick, "Yes sir.." Nick responded, Jake rolled his eyes then walked away, going back upstairs to his and Erikas room.

Jake came into the bedroom, seeing Erika fix her coat in the mirror, he came up behind her hugging her around her waist leaning down slightly to rest his chin on her shoulder, a tired frown on his face, "Hey baby," Jake muttered,

Erika's whole body got hot, a shudder going through her, she didn't know if Jake suspected anything, his presents just gave her anxiety regardless because she knew what she had done, and she knew what Jake was capable of...Last night kept replaying through her head, she questioned herself and reeked of guilt, Jake had his suspicions of her in the past that landed them in huge fights, now she had done something she'd promised so many times she never would, part of her wanted to blurt out everything that happened and the other side was scared of saying anything and just trying to let life to back to their normal...

"Good morning babe, happy birthday," Erika answered, "Let's get back in bed," Jake whispered squeezing her tighter, making Erika tense again, Would she be able to keep up the lie with Jake? Or would she crumble before they even made it home...?
