"Your not gonna talk to me like that- Do you know who I am? I'M THE PERSON WHO CAN BUY YOU OUT, IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT!?"
Weeks had gone by, and as everyone guessed, touring together was hectic, even when it wasn't the team being ridiculed, anyone else working under Jake would get a tongue lashing if things weren't perfect. Jake took his appearance very seriously, and being seen and cheered on every night for this tour was a dream come true, and he wasn't about to let anyone ruin it for him.
Jake had just been told he couldn't ride a motorcycle on stage, by one of the crew mates helping organize the venue they were performing at, and he was not taking it well...His ego was being fed by going on stage and seeing his fans in person; being told "no" now made him go crazy.
"Mr.Paul, it isn't safe to operate something like that on stage, th-theres too many hazards! What if a costumer got hurt?" The man tried to reason, he was fully aware by Jakes managers what a hot head Jake could be, but having him there yelling in his face before going out to perform, it was weighing on him- What if he got him too upset and he didn't perform at all? A lot of people would miss out on paychecks...
"I didn't ask what was safe! This is my show, and I'll do it however I please!" Jake snarled, Jake's managers began coming around, trying to diffuse the situation, before it got louder and anyone heard it, if something else leaked I to the public about Jake and his behavior, he would just make their lives worse.
"Excited to go out?" Anthony said, they were all in their dressing room, waiting to go out while Jake was outside in the hallway, still arguing. "Yeah, its fun but-" Erika mumbled, before flinching hearing Jake's loud booming voice, Anthony glanced at the door than back to Erika. "Don't worry about that, I'm sure Jake will be happy once he gets the spot light on him again" Anthony tried to calm her, "Sometimes I don't know when I should go help with that stuff, and when I should stay away...We've been with each other a lot, but it feels distant..." Erika vaguely confessed. She knew Jake was busy with the fight and tour, but she wished she didn't have to just try and understand it...She missed the intimacy of their relationship.
"Jake will talk to you if he needs help," Anthony told her, "That's not how we work..." Erika chuckled, she remembered last time Jake had issues, and she had missed the signs he wanted help, he was devastated. And she knew this time, the reason she was so distracted all the time was the person talking to her right then. She felt so guilty, that's why she was worried she wasn't doing enough with Jake.
Anthony rubbed her shoulders slowly, sending light shivers down her spine, "Well whatever is happening, if you wanna talk, I listen," He told her, he removed his hands just as the manger came in to give them their cues to go on stage.
They waited in the wings for a while looking out as their names got announced, Erika felt the warmth of Anthonys hands on her shoulders while she waited, her face red as she thought of it. Suddenly she heard a whisper.
"Erika, Erika," Jake said as he came up beside her, he was sitting on the motorcycle he had been complaining about riding on stage, he grinned at her pointing at it, Erika smiled back at him, beofre he leaned up a bit kissing her on the cheek, "Get on the back," He told her, Erika got on hugging on to Jake, his warmth was different from Anthony, the Air was completely opposite, but she tried not to think of it, this was her husband, the only one man she should be thinking of...
Soon they were announced and Jake drove out with Erika clinging on to him, Jake began shouting at the crowd hyping them up, the lights were on, the crowd was cheering, and the music started once again.
