Y/n POV
I saw the coaches approach. "Well Y/n what are you doing here? I'm Coach Kurosu by the way." "I'm Coach Oomi."
"Hello nice to meet you. I'm here to see my brothers!" I replied. "The boys look like they would like you to play with them. How about we do a little 5 v 5 game to get started?" Coach Kurosu suggested.
"Sure that sounds fun! Who should I play with?" I looked at the team around me with interest. Time to find out how they play in real life and not just over a tv.
Akagi POV
I really want to be in the same team as Y/n but we are both liberos. So I probably won't be in her team. Probably for the best since I'd just be distracted by her.
I heard the coach declare the teams. "Team A is going to be Aran, Ginjima, Atsumu, Suna, Kosaku, Akagi."
So I'm not in the same team as Y/n, that's sad. "Team B is going to be Kita, Omimi, Osamu, Riseki and Y/n. Y/n do you mind being your team's libero?" "No, it's fine! I can't wait to show my genius brothers that I'm just as good as them!"
"Okay then. Since team B has one less person and this is just going to be a short practice match team A can choose someone who will sit out."
In the end Kosaku ended up having to watch. It was understandable since he was the only one on team A who isn't a regular.
Kita was first to serve. I got into position to receive it. Kita was about to serve the ball when I thought I saw something in the corner of my eye. I glanced to the side for a split second and didn't see the ball coming right towards me. It ended up hitting me in the face right when I turned around.
"Oh my goodness Akagi are you okay!?!" I looked up to see y/n looking worried. "Y-yeah I'm fine." Wait why am I stuttering? "Well Akagi you haven't missed a ball in a while. Did you happen to zone out while looking at a certain someone~?" Suna teased.
I could feel myself blush. "No Suna I didn't!" I whispered. "Mhm sure. If you say so." He looked back up to the other team. "Might wanna reassure Kita he looks a little worried." He said.
"I'm alright Kita, I just thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye! We can keep playing now, sorry for not paying attention enough!"
He sighed relieved. "Glad to hear. You don't usually let yourself get hit in the face." I smiled bashfully. "Yeah, yeah just shut up and serve again."
