Chapter 18

Akagi POV
"Bye dad I won't be too long!" I said putting on my shoes. "Ok, make sure you actually study and take care." My dad ruffled my hair. "Don't worry I'll be careful and I'm sure Kita will make me study even if I don't want to." He smiled "Have fun then and see you soon."

I walked to Kita's house since he said we could study chemistry at his. I actually did need the help and was very grateful to Kita but I also hoped I could find out a little bit more about his feelings since he didn't usually show much emotion. That would make it much easier to help Aran.

I am so glad Kita lives near me. I thought when I got to his house. I rang the doorbell and very quickly Kita opened the door. "Hello Akagi. Come in." "Hi Kita! Thanks again for agreeing to help me, chemistry absolutely melts my brain."  "It's fine. Have you had lunch already?" He asked me.

"Yeah. You?" He nodded and shut the door behind me. "My sister's in the kitchen baking so I hope you don't mind studying in my room." "No that's fine. I haven't seen your room in a while, have you changed anything?" I tried to remember which room was Kita's. I rarely went to his house since his parents had guests over a lot. We usually went to my house or Aran's instead.

"Probably not." Kita answered before opening his door. I looked around and his room looked the exact same as always, except... "Is that us!?" I looked at him, pointing at a picture on his desk of us two and Aran. I recognised it as a picture Suna took of us when me and Aran threw Kita a surprise birthday party a few months ago.

"Yeah. It's a nice picture. And it was a fun day." He looked away but I could've sworn his face was redder than usual. "Aw Kita! That's so sweet! I knew you love us." I grinned and punched his shoulder gently. He pulled away and cleared his throat a bit. "So chemistry."

I sighed. "Better to just get it over with, huh." I grabbed my things from my bag. "I'm not allowed to fail this test, I think my teacher will kill me." Kita smiled. "Well we'd better prevent that. I can't have you dying before I can do something for your birthday."

I clutched my chest. "Kitaa! You're being so nice today! Or no, you're always super nice but you're being so sweet!" He raised an eyebrow. "Chemistry? You can keep talking when we've worked a bit." I sighed again. "Yes Kita."

Atsumu POV
I watched Osamu walk out of the living room and frowned. "Why do I have to be the middle man for these two, what a mess." I groaned. "Oblivious idiots." My time complaining to no one in particular was cut short though when I got another text.

"I swear Suna if you make me go to Osamu's room to tell him something instead of talking to him yourself cause you're a pus-" I started complaining again before I saw who was replying to me. Oh.

Hey Sakusa!
How long is your team staying here for the practice match?

I think 3 days
If you're asking because of the sleepover my parents already said yes

Well I was actually wondering if you wanted to go do something together at some point
You don't know Hyogo all that well right?
There's some cool places round here that we could go to

I can ask my coach

I smiled and punched the air. He's asking his coach so he must be okay with it? It was kind of ironic. Osamu was just upstairs, sad because of the whole mess with Suna liking him but not telling him and Osamu was much too oblivious to ever pick up on it himself and I was down here excited because I just got a date with my crush!

At least I think it's a date? Wait does he think it's a date? I mean there's no way he hasn't caught on yet, he has to know I like him, I've been dropping so many hints! But what if he doesn't and he doesn't get that I'm asking him out. Does he think it's weird that I'm asking him to do something together?

When you're unsure about Sakusa's intentions or feelings there's only two things you can do. You can confront him and ask him OR! You can ask Komori.

Komori is Sakusa's cousin and he's been his best (and pretty much only) friend for most of his life. He's one of the few people who can just tell what Sakusa is thinking. So I thought I'd ask him. The question is how do I ask him without him teasing me for the next two months and also telling my siblings who will tease me for the next six weeks.

I can't just ask 'does Sakusa like me' or 'does Sakusa know I like him'. Maybe if I ask something like 'if I'm going to spend a day in Hyogo with Sakusa is it a date?' Hm. That sounds kinda sad. And like I have no idea how to date.

I decided to just bite the bullet and ask him.

Komori didn't answer for a bit. Oh god I shouldn't have been that direct. I'm never going to hear the end of this. Then he finally replied.

A/N Hi! Sorry that this chapter's a bit late, I completely forgot to publish this yesterday. I hope you're all having a great day! I have a small question for you if anyone wants to answer. I've been trying to write these later chapters in a style that kind of fits the previous ones that I wrote over a year ago I'm pretty sure because I want the story to be a bit more cohesive but it's been a little restrictive and unfulfilling at times. Would you all mind if there were some more drastic changes in the writing? I always love to read any comments. Have a great week!
