Y/n POV
Unlike the day before, I woke up to birds chirping instead of my brother lying to and disappointing me. I checked the time. 7:06. I didn't want to get up just yet so I decided to just lie in bed for a bit. It's only for a few minutes.

Famous last words. The next thing I knew someone knocked on my door. It was Osamu. "Hey Y/n. I know Atsumu lied to you about the waffles yesterday, but I actually made pancakes today. I don't wanna rush you but you might wanna come soon or they'll all be gone."

I nodded at him and sat up. He closed the door again and I decided to finally get up and get ready for the day.

Atsumu POV
"No you can't have any of the pancakes meant for Y/n just because 'she should've come earlier if she wanted more'." My mom scolded me. "Fine yes I know. I'm not ten." I grumbled. "Yeah but you act like it." Osamu said. "Aw not always. Don't be mean to your brother Samu." She ruffled his hair. "But mom-"

He was interrupted by our dear sister finally joining us for breakfast. "Yes there's still some left!" Y/n sat down next to me. "How many am I allowed?" She asked. "All the pancakes in front of you are yours." Osamu answered. "Yesss!" She whispered before digging into her breakfast.

We ate in silence for a little bit before Y/n spoke up. "So any plans for today?" Our mom was the one who answered that question. "Well since these two," She gestured towards me and Osamu. "Had you yesterday for volleyball, I was thinking we could go do something together today. What do you think?"

She practically lit up, smiling widely. "That sounds great! What were you thinking we could do?"

I mostly tuned out what they were discussing since I wasn't included in the plans. We were all almost done with breakfast when our mom changed her attention to me and Osamu. "So do you two have something planned for today?"

"I mean not really. I'm probably just gonna tag along to whatever Osamu plans on doing and annoy him." I said absentmindedly. "Hey no! I did not agree to this!" He said glaring at me.

"Well what are you doing today?" Mom asked him. "I don't really know. I was gonna ask Suna if he's free and if he is just do something with him."

Suna POV
"I love you too mom. See you next week."
I hung up and lied back down. Turns out my parents had to stay on their trip a bit later than expected. Now instead of coming back on Monday they'd be coming back on Friday.

I guess it wasn't too bad. I'd probably be a bit bored at home by myself but I'd be fine. I guess if I really got bored I could always ask Osamu if he's free.

I picked up my phone and then remembered that I was planning on not seeing him today. Need to work through the pain of indirect rejection first, right.

It felt a bit dumb, I mean Osamu was my best friend and here I was deciding let's just try not to talk to him for a day for some stupid reason that I won't tell him. I mean I could tell him. Maybe it would make me feel better. But maybe if I did things would be weird between us.

This is for the best. I told myself. Today was just going to be me, some snacks and some videogames. No Miya twins. No stupid feelings. No parents. No social interaction.

Ding! I looked at my phone to see who had just messaged me. Well shit.

Y/n POV
"Are you ready Y/n? The place we are about to enter is a sacred place, the location of which has been passed down in our family for generations. You must treat it with reverence and respect." I nodded at my mother as seriously as possible. I was trying so hard to supress my laughter at how dramatic this all was.

"This! Is the greatest Ramen Shop! In all of Japan!" She announced waving at the building behind her. It didn't look particularly impressive or how you'd expect the greatest Ramen Shop in Japan to look but I took her word for it.

She put her hand on my shoulder. "To be fully integrated in this family you must eat here at least once. Are you ready." She looked at me with a challenging glint in her eyes. I met her gaze steadily. "Yes. I am." As soon as I finished talking I lost it and my mother broke into laughter moments after.

We laughed together for a few seconds and then walked into the shop. Immediately it looked and smelled so cozy. It felt like the kind of place where the servers know all the regulars and the food is delicious and it doesn't matter how long you have to wait because the ambiance is wonderful.

My mom sat down at the front and said hi to the server. I sat down next to her and saw him raise an eyebrow. "This is my daughter." Mom told him. "She lived in Tokyo for a long time and it's her first time eating here." The server nodded and smiled at me warmly.

"I'll have my usual." My mom said and then looked at me. "I'll um..." I looked at the menu and wasn't sure what to get. I scanned through all the options and felt my face start to get warmer while my mom and the server looked at me.

"I'll get the same." I blurted out quickly trusting my mother's judgement more than any quick call I would've made. The server nodded and I sighed. My mom laughed and ruffled my hair. "If you want I'll tell you about all the options at home and you can decide in peace. We come here so often you'll have a 'usual' in no time." I just nodded and we sat in silence enjoying the feeling of the shop until our Ramen was done.
