Akagi POV
"You know what, I actually have a good feeling about this exam!" I told Kita enthusiastically. "I normally go into chemistry tests full of dread and regret but this is really helping!"

"I'm glad to hear that. Although you should probably find a way of studying chemistry that works for you. You're good in most other subjects so it might just be a motivation thing." He replied while putting down his pen.

"I just- I can't wrap my head around all of it." I complained. "Like you think you've finally figured out chemistry and bam there's just even more chemistry. And all the different experiments are cool but I don't get what we're doing. I think my teacher's trying to lose us during class."

"Hm." "And also," I continued. "There are just so many rules and processes and all the names sound exactly the same!" Kita looked up at me for a moment and smiled. "At least you're prepared for this exam. Besides you can always ask me to help you with chemistry, exam or no exam. It's easier to wrap your head around things if you're not trying to hammer a ton of information into it."

"Sure thing Kita!" I sighed. I have to bring it up somehow. Now or never. But how...

"Hey, are you excited for the practice match in two weeks?" I decided to ask out of the blue. "It's been a good while since we played against Itachiyama. Oh and that team sleepover! I'm sure that'll be fun!" That's one way to bring up the team.

Kita pondered the question for a moment. "Yeah it'll be nice to see how the team has progressed, especially our second years. And now we have something to prove, we have their old schoolmate training us after all. Especially you and Aran, a really good libero from an entirely different team is just what you need to improve even more."

"Yeah these next two weeks are gonna be fun I'm sure! We've got to be playing our best when they come. Especially since Atsumu needs to impress Sakusa." I tried to hide my grin but it was much too wide. "The sleepovers going to be very interesting."

Kita laughed a bit and a part of me squealed internally. Oh my god I made Kita laugh, I have GOT to tell Aran later, that was so- "He is quite obvious no? At this point I think the only people who don't know that Atsumu likes Sakusa are Sakusa himself and Osamu."

My jaw dropped. "Wait hang on go back there. Osamu. Doesn't know? HOW?" Kita smiled at my incredulous expression. "Osamu isn't too good at noticing when people like each other. I mean have you seen him and Suna?"

I stared at Kita again trying to process everything he was dropping on me at once. "Wait. Waitwaitwait. Osamu and Suna? How did I not know about this. Wait hang on how do you know all these things? You don't seem the type to be interested in romance?"

"Oh I'm not really. But Omimi is. And our teammates happen to be very obvious about most things." "Oh." I sat there for a moment, dumbfounded. Then I grinned again. "Anyone else in the team I should know something about?"

Y/n POV
It was getting a little late when me and my mom went back home especially considering the next day was monday and my first day at my new school. "I wonder if the boys have made dinner." She said. "It would save me some time." I shrugged. "I don't know. Can Atsumu even cook?" I asked with a small laugh.

"Oh a bit. He makes dinner on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We haven't starved yet." "Or died from food poisoning." We both laughed together. I loved spending the day with her. It was so fun and I felt comfortable spending time with her, joking and laughing, getting to know eachother.

We walked in silence for a little bit before we encountered Akagi walking the opposite way. "Hey Akagi." I waved at him. "Oh hey Y/n. Hello Ms. Miya." "Hello Akagi!" My mom said "Where are you headed at this time?" "I'm just going home! How about you?" He asked. "We're going home too!" I answered. "Oh, well I don't want to keep you then. See you tomorrow Y/n!" "See you!" "Goodbye Akagi."

After we had walked a little bit my mom piped up. "It's been a while since I've talked to one of the volleyball boys. Your brothers don't have them over often so the sleepover's a fun idea." She looked over at me and smiled. "But they're all very nice and I'm glad you have a group to be friends with instead of feeling isolated in a new class."

A shiver went down my back. Right. New class. "I forgot about that." I complained. "Oh no, I'm so sorry! But you already know a few second years from the team, so at least one of them will probably be in your class right?" She tried to reassure me. "Yeah. It'll be fine. Oh! We're back!"

My mom unlocked the door and called: "We're home!"

A/N
New chapter! I don't have that much to say about this one especially since the plot hasn't been progressing as quickly lately. I am working on some chapters right now that progress the story a bit more but you won't get to see them for a while at this rate. Speaking of the rate what do you all think of the current schedule? Is two weeks too long? Anyway I hope you're all doing great and have an amazing holiday season!
