Y/n POV
"Hey Ginjima, Kosaku wait up! See you tomorrow Mira, get home safe!" I called a quick goodbye to my new friend before running to catch up with the two boys so we could head to practice together.

"Bye guys, have fun at practice!" Mira shouted back to all of us before waving and walking off. I waved back and then fell into step next to Kosaku.

"First day at Inarizaki, huh? What do you think of it?" Kosaku asked me nonchalantly. "It was definitely fun and I'm glad I made a new friend. Mira's really cool and I'm definitely grateful she let me sit with her today."

I saw Ginjima breathe an exaggerated sigh of disappointment when I called Mira cool. "It's too late, Mira's already stolen you. She's going to make so much fun of me." He sounded very calm despite how negative his words were, as if he had already accepted his fate.

Speaking of Mira... "Uhm Ginjima you've known Mira for a while right?" I took the chance to ask him a question that had been on my mind for a long time. "I was having lunch with her and Atsumu earlier and it feels like she doesn't really like him."

When I mentioned eating lunch with the two I saw both Ginjima and Kosaku wince. "Oh did you..." Ginjima hesitated. "So how did that go?"

"It was so awkward!" I groaned. "I can't tell if Atsumu doesn't know that Mira doesn't like him or if he just doesn't care."

Atsumu POV
"How come neither of you were at lunch?" I asked Suna and Osamu, shooting them each an accusing glare.

Suna just looked away without answering and started taking his stuff out of his bag. I narrowed my eyes at him. Fine, ignore me then. I turned to Osamu who just answered, "I was busy." and didn't elaborate.

"All right then. But it's you guys' fault that I had to eat lunch with just Y/n and her classmate who's like best friends with Ginjima. I don't know what her problem is with me! I've never even talked to her before and she acts like I ruined her life or something. She's not even subtle!"

Osamu raised an eyebrow. "Hm, normally people only decide you're annoying after you speak to them. Before that they're all massive fans." I rolled my eyes. It was just Samu's idea of a joke. But I wasn't really in the mood to be made fun of.

I crossed my arms. "It's not my fault if people like me and create their own theories on what I'm like personality wise . I don't have to try to be the person they imagine I am." Osamu and Suna glanced at each other, wordlessly confirming their thoughts.

"Of course not." Suna answered. "I'm sure the whole thing with Ginjima's friend is some weird misunderstanding anyway. I mean Mira doesn't have any real reason to dislike you, right?"

I was going to wholeheartedly agree that she was being unreasonable, but a different thing Suna said had stuck out to me. Apparently Osamu had questions about it too, because he gave Suna a quizzical look.

"Mira? How come you know what she's called?" Osamu sounded fairly confused, although Suna just shrugged like it was obvious. "Well, Gin's told us her name several times. Maybe if you paid more attention to when other people talk instead of getting into constant arguments you'd know more about the school."

A smile formed across Suna's face whe he talked. Now he's making fun of us! I was about to retaliate in some way when the door to the changing room opened. Speak of the devil. Ginjima and Kosaku stepped inside, in the middle of a discussion about how un-subtle Ginjima was. Wonder how they got to that topic, but that didn't matter as me and Suna quickly chimed in to help Kosaku in making fun of Gin.

Akagi POV
"Alright everyone, quick water break, go drink a bit and we'll carry on with training!" Coach Kurosu told us after we'd finished warming up. We all walked to the edge of the gym where we had our water bottles and Y/n fell into step next to me.

Apparently she had decided she wanted to properly train with us and not just deal with helping the coaches manage the team. Some of her hair was sticking to her forehead and while I started drinking my water relatively slowly, I watched her down almost half her bottle in one go.

When she finished drinking she looked at her bottle with a frown. "You can tell I haven't had as much practice recently, what with moving here and all." She remarked. "Or maybe your warm-ups are a little more intense than they were in my old team."

I shrugged. I didn't really know what kind of warm-ups the girls-team in Itachiyama did or what impact spending a few days moving across a country has on stamina. "I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time. I mean I can't say much objectively about our training, I've been doing this for about two and a half years."

Y/n nodded and placed her bottle down. "What made you start volleyball?" She asked, while we made our way back to the coaches. I shrugged. "I'm not sure. I mean I already knew Kita and I thought volletball looked quite fun. We played volleyball in sports for a while in middle school and I quite enjoyed it and I guess I also wanted to get better at playing since it's a cool sport."

By the time I finished my long-winded explanation the team was standing in front of Coach Oomi and Coach Kurosu in a loose semicircle. Me and Y/n both fell silent as did the rest of the team.

"All right then," Coach Oomi began. Let's talk about Friday in two weeks then."

A/n Here's the chapter as promised! Now it's back to the regular schedule of one chapter every two weeks. I hope you enjoyed reading this and that there aren't any mistakes in this chapter (it isn't proofread). Have a great weekend and I'll see you in two weeks!
