Taming the Darkness (Series 3)

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

FROM different directions, seven pairs of eyes widened in surprise when they felt the sudden appearance of a clouded presence which also vanished in an instant. Four of them were confused at first, not knowing what presence they had felt except for the three.

Sa loob ng kusina ng isang five star restaurant, nabasag ang baso na pinupunasan ng isang lalaki nang bigla niyang mabitawan iyon. Napalingon siya sa nakabukas na bintana sa tapat ng freezer. Hindi niya alam kung ano ang naramdaman. It's like a very strong powerful force that he had never felt before. Ibinalik niya ang tingin sa nabasag na baso na nasa sahig.

"Tsk. Minsan na nga lang akong magkusa," he said in complete annoyance and wave his hand once. The shards of broken glass vanished in an instant.

Mula sa isang malaking mansyon, napatigil naman sa paghigop ng tsaa ang isa ring lalaki na nakasuot ng mga mamahaling damit at relo nang maramdaman ang presensyang iyon.

Somewhere in England, isang babae ang biglang naipreno ang sasakyan nang makaramdam nang matinding kilabot na mabilis na gumapang sa buo niyang katawan. She stared at her arms in confusion as she watched the goosebumps showing on her skin.

"What was that?" she asked herself.

A man wearing all black stopped from following his next prey. His red eyes shifted to brown and walked out of the alley where he is hiding from. Takang nilingon niya ang paligid. He thought someone called his name.

"You missed!"

Nilingon ng lalaki ang nagsalita. He smiled sheepishly at his older brother.

"Sorry, I was distracted," he apologized and swiftly stretched another arrow on his bow and aimed at the target which is at least a few kilometers away.

He couldn't understand what he felt, but for an instant, his hands suddenly went numb which never happened before.

Veseva stopped walking as she felt her presence. She smiled and looked at the direction where she felt it from even though it is miles away from where she stood. Mukhang tama nga siya ng hinala.

Deep in the Underworld kingdom where the floor, walls, and ceiling are made of deadly fire where only demons could walk on, a silhouette began to form from a gigantic black smoke that's been dimming the entire room.

The tall form walked out of the shadows, causing the monstrous beasts kneeling on the fiery floor to flinch away from his frightening magnificence. Their red skin shone under the fire light, their long tails between their legs.

The light from the fire in the middle of the Underworld throne caught the lower half of his face, revealing a pale well-defined jaw and bloody-red lips which tore to a frightening smirk, his long sharp canines showing, making the beasts to cower in fear.

"And so she had finally awaken. How foolish of him to go that far? He doesn't seem too concern for her safety," he said in complete amusement.

"M-My lord. Hindi ba't maari iyong maging dahilan upang muling ma-trigger ang sumpa?"

"It will, definitely. No one can break her curse, not even him." He let out a low amused chuckle. "He's even cursed himself, and yet he's more absorbed in breaking her curse than his own."

"Should we attack now, my lord?" tanong ng isa sa mga nakaluhod na nilalang. "This will be a good chance to get rid of them both."

Hindi nagtataas ng tingin ang mga ito sa takot na mapaparusahan sila.
