Taming the Darkness (Series 3)

EPILOGUE

"ARE you ready to meet them, again?" Billius asked her gently.

Both of them are wearing dark clothing and a black cloak that covered their whole body. They also have their faces covered with a fitted mask. Nakatayo sila sa harapan ng nakasaradong gate ng werewolf kingdom.

Zenaia let out a sigh. "I don't even know why I'm feeling so nervous," she giggled. That made him chuckle. Tumango siya bilang sagot. "It's been more than fifty years, but I'm ready."

"We've been living a normal life just like what we both wanted, but now that the kingdom is facing a new struggle, I think it's time we offer them our help again," marahan nitong sabi.

It's true. They spent those years living a normal human life, not even once did they use their nonhuman abilities. The only dilemma that they always face is having to move around a lot since they don't age.

"Who are the enemies again?" tanong ni Zenaia.

"Sirens. The kingdom is now in conflict against creatures from the Underwater Realm," sagot ni Billius.

"Oh, interesting..."

Takang tinignan siya ni Billius nang mapansin ang pag-aalangan sa tono ng boses niya. "What's wrong?"

Zenaia gazed up at him sheepishly. "This is a bit embarrassing to admit but, I don't know how to swim."

That made him laugh. Napailing ito bago muling sumeryoso lalo na nang simangutan ito ni Zenaia.

"It'll be fine. You're Zenaia. You can do anything."

Her eyes brightened as her smile widens.

Muli nilang ibinalik ang tingin sa nakasaradong gate na siyang unti-unting binubuksan ng mga taong lobo na silang nagbabantay roon.

Immediately, both their eyes changed color. It seems like, the werewolves have finally felt their heavy presence. Even before the werewolves managed to land their eyes on them, they have already flashed inside, moving in a blur, unseen by ordinary naked eyes.

Soon enough, they arrived in the castle grounds, where a group of people are fighting against three unwelcomed visitors, the sirens.

Billius grabbed hold of Cedric who was being controlled by one of the sirens. He was just planning to attack Caleb unconsciously. Si Zenaia naman ay siyang agad na iwinagayway ang mga kamay. She summoned a small amount of darkness from the Underworld and conjured a black rope that immediately started moving on its own and tied around the three sirens, catching them off their guard.

Agad naputol ang kontrol ng mga ito sa kina Cedric. Zenaia then shoved the sirens away with just a simple wave of her hand and tied them on a tree, making sure that they wouldn't be able to escape. The sirens let out a deafening screech as the rope tightened, causing them pain. She waved her hand again to cover their mouth with a black force, silencing them completely.

Billius let go of Cedric and flashed beside Zenaia.

Ipinilig nina Cedric, Caleb, at Jeremiah ang ulo. They were just in a trance and was just about to attack each other. Their eyes refocused, and stared at Billius and Zenaia's form. Nagulat ang mga ito sa bigla nilang pagsulpot.

"Who are you?" Mariin na tanong ni Queen Sofia, habang nakaumang ang isang punyal sa kanila.

King Zafrix walked in front of her, alert, his eyes narrowed. He still looked the same. All of them still looked the same. They didn't even change that much. They just became stronger.

"Is that you?" He asked Billius gruffly, sounding unsure, even though he already knows the answer upon sensing his strong familiar presence.

In response, Billius pulled down his hood and his mask, revealing his face.
