Taming the Darkness (Series 3)

CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR

ZENAIA are still seeing her past memories while staying unconscious. From time to time, they could all see her wincing and flinching as if she doesn't like what she's seeing.

'PROMISE me, Billius. You must promise me!' Malakas na sabi ni Zenaia habang mahigpit na nakakapit sa mga braso ni Billius. Tears kept flowing down her cheeks as she said those words.

Nasa kalagitnaan sila ng Dark Woods at hinihintay na lamang na isagawa ni Hera ang lahat nang biglang dumating si Billius. He tried to stop them, as he learned everything about their deal.

'This is the only way to stop him. He cannot have this power. I must do this...' she sobbed as she tried to convince him to let them do this.

'But this will only leave you completely defenseless,' tutol ni Billius. 'Hindi natin alam kung ano ang puwedeng mangyari sayo pagkatapos nito.'

'Nasaksihan mo na kung ano ang kaya kong gawin gamit ang kapangyarihang ito, Billius. I cannot go back. I don't want to end up murdering a lot of innocent lives again.'

Billius is torn, as he think of what he should do. He's deeply anxious about how it will affect his beloved once all her abilities are sealed.

'Kailangan na nating magpatuloy habang hindi pa nag-uumaga,' sabi sa kanila ni Hera na nakatayo sa labas ng isang puting pentagram na binubuo ng matataas na bato na nakapaligid sa kanila. Bawat harapan ng mga poste ay may nakaukit na simbolo ng apoy, at nagbibigay ng liwanag sa lugar na iyon.

'Billius...' Zenaia pleaded. 'Alam mong ito ang habol sa akin ni Lucifer. He won't stop hunting me if I still have all of these abilities.'

'Anong mangyayari sa kaniya pagkatapos nito?' tanong ni Billius kay Hera.

'She will lost all her abilities, she won't be able to use them. It might turn her into an ordinary human completely. Ngunit hindi pa tayo nakasisigurado sa kung ano pa ang maaaring mangyaring mga pagbabago sa katawan ni Zenaia,' sagot ni Hera. Bakas ang pag-aalangan sa itsura nito habang pinagmamasdan silang dalawa.

Ibinalik ni Billius ang tingin kay Zenaia. He'd found out about the deal, and he's completely against it. He doesn't want Zenaia to get harmed. Surrendering her rose crystal is already enough, but sealing her real abilities... she will end up becoming defenseless. Ngunit alam din niyang kailangan nila iyong gawin. Zenaia cannot use that destructive power above ground. Nasaksihan niya mismo ang nangyari noong unang pagkakataon na ginamit nito iyon.

He knows that she's nothing ordinary. She's not a mage or a sorceress, not even an elemental. Alam niya simula nang mawalan ng kontrol si Zenaia sa kapangyarihan nito, ang tungkol sa totoong pagkatao nito. But, he had chosen to stay quiet about it, waiting for her to tell him the truth. He doesn't want to force her into telling him. He doesn't want to hurt her again. Yet, she made a deal behind his back. She chose to protect him instead.

Zenaia gently cupped his face in her hands. The warmth of her skin giving him some reassurance.

'I might end up becoming an ordinary human, but I will forever be your beloved,' she said softly. 'Please... I only want for us to live a comfortable life, Billius,' Zenaia continued. 'Without all of this, we will be much safer.'

Billius nodded in understanding and gently wiped away the tears from her cheeks with his fingers. 'You are my comfort, Feruseah. You are the only reason why I'm still sane enough to continue existing. If something happens to you, if I lost you...'

'Sshhh! You must never give in no matter what happens to me,' Zenaia said, her voice also filled with pain. 'I choose to continue being in this human body so I could be with you. If I ever ended up dying, I will always resurrect and we will always meet again. This is a choice that I must do.'
