CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

GULAT na napalingon si Cedric kay Billius. Maging ito ay halatang nabigla sa narinig.

"Bakit ganyan ang reaksiyon niyo?" takang tanong ni Gaston sa dalawa.

"Did you say Ambrose Guevarra?" Pag-uulit ni Billius.

"What's wrong?" tanong din ni Veseva.

"There's actually nothing wrong about it," Billius murmured. He was frowning down at the table.

"But he is Billius's father," dugtong ni Cedric.

"What?" Sabay-sabay na bulalas ng mga kasalanan.

"Did I hear you correctly?" said Mystic.

"He wasn't exactly my biological father," paglilinaw ni Billius. "I'm older than him for thousands of years."

"But, what does Cedric meant by that?" tanong ni Elkail.

"Before all this, I was living a life of an ordinary human while looking for Zenaia, and Ambrose Guevarra was the one who adopted me. Sa kaniya galing ang apilidong gamit ko ngayon. The full name that I'm currently using is Billius Guevarra." Paliwanag ni Billius.

"That made sense," Caleb muttered.

"No, it doesn't," tanggi ni Veseva. "Why would the Sin of Pride adopt the Legendary Lycanthrope who is preteding as an ordinary human? Imposible rin na hindi niya alam kung sino ka talaga."

"He must have approached me on purpose. May mabigat na dahilan siguro siya. Or maybe, he already knows about what I'm currently doing. He even tried to stop me a few times. I couldn't believe that I didn't noticed that. I didn't even have the tiniest bit of idea that he could be the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins. No wonder why he tried to kill Zenaia before."

"He did what?!" Caleb exclaimed. Nawala ang pagkabagot sa itsura nito.

Billius sighed. "As upsetting as it sounds, but it's a common joke between Pride and Wrath to hunt and kill each other."

Caleb and Cedric shared the same reaction, bewilderment.

"I should have known this. Bakit hindi ko man lang napansin na siya ang Sin of Pride?" Wala sa loob na tanong ni Billius na animo'y hindi nila iyon maririnig.

"Don't beat yourself about it. It will be really hard for you to find us if we want to," said Mystic, trying to console him. "We all have that glamour ability that could cover who we trully are from everyone."

"Except for me," singit ni Caleb. "I can always find you anywhere."

"No one is asking you, kid!" sita rito ni Gaston bagay na sinagot lamang ni Caleb ng nakakalokong ngisi. Badtrip na inambaan ito ng kamao ni Gaston.

"So, when are we going to get him?" tanong ni Elkail.

"Let's just wait here, nakakatamad umalis," ungot ni Luthiel na siya nang naglatag na pala ng higaan sa gilid ng lamesa. "He'll be coming on his own anyway."

"Paano mo nasabi?" tanong ni Cedric.

"He's Pride. Five of the seven deadly sins are here without a leader. He'll probably think that he's needed and that we can't function well without him."

"What a prideful b*stard," komento ni Caleb.

"Avarice is literally flowing in his veins. What can you expect?" Pairap na sabi ni Veseva. Offended that someone is badmouthing their leader.

"Fine. We'll just wait here. I also think that he will be coming on his own," sabi ni Billius.

"Yes!" Tuwang sabi ni Luthiel bago muling nahiga at nagtilakbong ng makapal na comforter na bigla na lamang sumulpot doon.
