Ch 17 Keeping a secret...

As Arthit was not going to be there that day Kong had decided to practice for his piano piece...The reason he did it when he was not there was because he wanted to keep it a secret from him. A part of him wanted to surprise him on the day of the contest and see his reaction and another part of him was afraid he would recognize him if he played in front of him...

So he had told P'Tew to take him to the auditorium and had gotten the required permission to practice on the piano kept there...the piece he had decided to play was 'Shape of my heart' by Sting with a twist where he would end the song by playing 'Twinkle Twinkle little star' backwards...

He knew he was risking it and there was every chance of Arthit recognizing him for who he was..but he wanted to do this, play it this way, as a tribute to P'Kit for encouraging him all those years back....he wanted to make him proud. What if he didn't get the chance again? So he had to do it now..

He practised for 4 hours. Feeling entirely guilty of making P'Tew wait so long, but he didn't know when he ll get to practice again so he used this time fully..

When he finished and came out, he saw P'Knot standing and talking with P'Tew..He couldn't help but smile as P'Knot subconsciously brushed P'Tew's hair straightening a strand.. He walked upto them and cleared his throat, causing Knot to withdraw his hand and Tew to rub his neck slightly embarrassed..

"Sawadee khrap P'Knot..I didn't know you were coming..Sorry for the delay but practice took a bit longer.." he apologized smiling brightly..

"That s ok nong...I finished my work so I came to pick Tew up, we have something to do after he drops u."

"I am done now P' . We can go."

And they all bundled into Knot's car and left..

After the seniors had dropped him off, Kong went upto his dorm to find the whole gang gathered there..

"Wow wat a surprise," he smiled excitedly..hugging Wad whom he had not seen in a long time.."wat brings you all together guys?"

"Well,you had asked for notes so I brought them over." Said Wad handing him a bunch of books..

"And I just tagged along with him as I was bored" grinned Em..

"Awww so nice of u Em..thank you Wad I was getting bored just watching tv all day..you are a saviour. "

" So how's your dance practice going on?" Asked Rome grinning mischievously and wriggling his eyesbrows..and the other two looked eagerly grinning at him...

"Ya its coming along fine" he said nonchalantly looking anywhere but at them...he felt his neck turn hot from blushing at the memory of the intimate time he had spent practicing with P'Arthit...

"Come on Kong, don't tell me ur not gonna give us details, thats not fair.." whined Em...

"Yes that s not fair Kong..I didn't come all the way here to just listen to 'it's coming along fine '.." Wad imitated Kong in a shrill voice causing him to chuck his notes back at him..

And they all ended up laughing..

"Alright, alright..P'Arthit is teaching me how to waltz..and I am way better when I dance with him than I was with P'Baifern.." he said proudly..

"Oh so its just the two of u practicing alone is it...so does P'Arthit hold u here, here , like this.." Rome mischievously grabbed Kong around his waist and neck, teasing him...

"Stop it Rome," Kong shouted giggling at the same time wriggling to get away from him..

"If all you are going to do is tease me I am not gonna say anymore" he pretended to be angry..

"Ohhhh ok ok..come on we wont tease u.."Wad pulled him to sit on the couch...

"So wat happened today?" Em asked

And he told them how Arthit had gone home and he had practised the piano piece..

"So u don't mind if P'Arthit recognized u after u play the piano??"Wad asked seriously..

"Am not sure Wad..I just want to play it for him..My heart tells me it's the right thing to do..I don't know wat i ll tell him if he recognises me..If he recognized me and got angry with me for lying to him, he might avoid talking to me.." he sighed, this possibility had also occured to him.

" He may not though..If its true he loved u as much as u say he did,then he may not let u go again u know.."Rome said thinking deeply..

"I know I can't guess his reaction, but anyway he's engaged to his cousin and he can't break it off, so I don't think his recognition s gonna change anything in our relationship. "He sighed...

"Well, whatever it is, just make sure u don't get hurt Kong. That s wat I would say..Don't expect anything, that way you won't be hurt much.."Wad put in a bit bitterly as though he was speaking from experience..

Singto nodded making a mental note to speak to him later and find the reason behind the bitterness..

"Ok so enough of this melancholy environment...let's go out and eat something..I am starving.." Em grumbled..breaking the tense atmosphere causing them all to laugh and agree..
