Your child gets in a fight

Earlier today I dropped off Faith's, at school and then went about my day doing errands.

I headed up unloaded all the groceries and was about to head out for lunch with a great friend of mine when Faith's school called telling me I need to come down there and have a talk with the principal about a fight.

So I called my friend and told them I needed to deal with issues at Faith's school that we could meet up later.

When I walked inside I was shown where to go. I saw a boy with what looks to be the start of a black eye. then I looked in the principles office and seen Faith standing there.

 I thanked the school receptionist and walked in.

"Hello Mrs. Syverson, please come in and take a seat," the principle said

I took a seat and held Faith.

"What is going on?" I asked

"Well Mrs.Syverson, it looks as though Faith thought it would be alright to fight Mr. Muttgumery," the principle said

I had Faith look at me.

"Why did you get in a fight?" I asked

"Morton was making fun of how I have no daddy, telling everyone that my daddy is a sperm donor and that he doesn't want to be in my life which is why he is hardly home. I told him it wasn't true that he is a soldier and that he is helping soldiers prep for war. But Morton said that I was daddy less and started teasing and calling me harsh names and I asked him to stop, I even told the teacher but she did nothing. So I punched him right in the eye and kept hitting him" She explained

"So you were defending yourself when your teacher did nothing knowing what was going on?" I Asked

"Yea," she says

I looked at the principal.

"Why is it that my daughter's teacher did nothing when Morton was saying all those things to my daughter and she told the teacher?" I asked

"the teacher said she wasn't informed that Faith just went crazy," the principle said 

"My daughter isn't one to start a fight for nothing, that little boy was saying things about her dad that was uncalled for and teasing her as well as making fun of her and the teacher claims that my daughter went crazy. so instead of hearing my daughter's side of the story, you all want to punish her while the little boy who started this walks free?" I asked

"He won't walk free, and for her punishment, we  are thinking two weeks expelled," the principle said

I stood up with faith in my arms and I looked the principal square in the eye.

"If you so much as expel my daughter I will have your job and the pathetic teacher's job as well. you want to expel a bullied kid and let the bully walk free." I say

"He has a black eye for nothing," the principal said

"Mark my words, Faith gets expelled or punished for defending her self then you and that so-called teacher will have to look for work elsewhere," I say as I walk out the door carrying faith.
