daughter on period alone (Clark)

Not being from this world and learning that I could have a child is amazing. But when I am left alone with my daughter while my beautiful wife is away to tend to a sick family member is a task.

And it had gotten to become a greater one when it came closer time for a step into womanhood.

I wasn't ready for it.

"Um! daddy" Sofia says

I turn from doing the dishes and look at her.

"Yea?" I ask

"Do you know where momma keeps her um.. things?" she asked

I was confused as to which things she is meaning.

"Can you specify more please?"

She blushed in embarrassment something she takes after her momma.

"Pad" she whispered and had I not had enhanced hearing I'd never would have heard what she said.

"I am sorry can you talk louder?" I asked

She grunted and groaned

"Daddy your superman you heard me. please dont make me say it louder" he pleaded

I chuckled.

"I am sorry baby, it's in mine and her bathroom," I tell her

 she walks off to deal with the issue while I turn back to finish the dishes untill I heard

"NO... dang it."

I dry my hands and take off to where Sofia is. I knocked

"Can I come in?" I asked

"Yea" she replied

I opened the door and seen her in a heap of tears with an empty box beside her.

"Oh, she is out?" I asked

Sofia nodded her head and cried more.

I walked over to her picked her up and carried her to her bathroom sat her down.

"Stay here," I tell her then go back to mine and her mom's bathroom grabbed some relaxing smelling candles and bath salts that my wife uses when she needs to relax and ease her cramps.

I go back to Sofia's bathroom and fill up her tub, making sure to add the salts.

"What are you doing?" she asks

"Your mommy does this all the time when she is on her cycle" I explained

"How will this help?" she asked

"Cramps hurt, this temperature will help ease them, the candles have the relaxing smell," I explained

Once I lit the candles, added the salts, and filled the tub. I turned the water off and dried my hands.

"I am gonna make a quick trip to the store to grab the items you will need. While I am gone you will relax here. Don't let anyone in here" I tell her

"Alright daddy, thank you," she says

"Welcome," I say

 then with a quick kiss to her forehead, I walk out and hurry downstairs and out the door locking it up behind me.

After she was done in the bathroom I told her where the products would be and that I'd be downstairs with a blanket, heating pad, her favorite takeaway food, and some sweets as well as her favorite cartoons waiting for her.

Moments later she came down and curled up to me as I turned the heating pad on, then handed it to her letting her place it where she needs it, then covered her up and handed her the takeaway box along with her drink before grabbing my own and started the cartoon.
