━━009,
will you sink down to me?
If there was one thing the universe was trying to tell Adalaine Airoldi, it was that loneliness is not inevitable. Because for the past few months, she was fairly certain that she'd be alone. But part of her was okay with that... one day she's gonna get up and leave and she won't be coming back to Kildare ever!Unfortunately for her, that's at least another two years away and so, frankly, she's grateful that she went to the kegger and stumbled along with the pogues.
Hell, they made her feel like she was a part of their family. Even though they didn't know her whole story.
But regardless of the blossoming friendships, Adalaine Airoldi would not have imagined that twice in the same week she would wake up on the same pull-out bed at the chateau. Though just as quickly, the events of the day prior come crawling back into her mind and almost immediately she's grateful for their kindness.
Because in the young Airolids mind, they could've left her on the streets of Figure Eight when she was crying over the horrid dinner party. Kiara didn't have to make her food. And John B certainly didn't have to welcome her into his home for the night once again. But they did! Without a thought of hesitation.
As she puts pressure on her elbows, to look around the room, she sees Pope passed out on the other couch in the small living room. Kiara was curled up near the brunette's side, still fast asleep. The young Airoldi girl assumes that John B and Jj were in the other two rooms in the back of the house.
Despite the lack of sleep she received the night prior, the girl was awake just as the sun was beginning to rise. Adalaine wasn't too sure of what to do, the thought of going home still didn't feel right ━━ one, she was terrified of the repercussions and two, she didn't want to leave the four pogues behind. Because though she didn't know them all that well, Adalaine wanted to continue whatever the five teenagers had going. Sure, she would leave one day, but that was etched in the back of her mind, love and affection were at the top of her desires.
Instead of continuing to lay on the uncomfortable mattress, as a thin blanket barely stretched across the two kooks. She quietly and carefully stands, being sure to cover Kiara with her part of the worn-thin cotton blanket. A smile smile etches across her features as the curly-haired girl cuddles deeper into the new warmth.
Unsure of where her green sweater resided in the early morning, because Pope had tossed it somewhere, after he had found himself a new pair of shorts. But with light barely shining through the old house, and not wanting to wake up the others just yet, her eye catches a grey hoodie from the coffee table, she picks it up with her delicate fingers. As she fell asleep, she didn't mind being clad in her periwinkle tank top and jean shorts, for the alcohol and marijuana made her feel warm. But now, in the unknown hours of the morning, she was littered in goosebumps, and so without a thought of whose it is, she throws on the grey hoodie, letting the discolored, well-worn fabric engulf her tiny frame. There was a scent of cigarette ash and cheap booze but she didn't mind, it was warm.
