Some may argue that just because Adalaine Airoldi has it better ━ way, way better ━, it doesn't mean that her own problems are invalid. But how can she feel that way when she knows the three boys have to survive on oil lamps and fresh catches in the marsh, while she sleeps soundly with her air-conditioning and a fridge that was always stocked full?

It may have appeared ridiculous to some, but who cares! Addy couldn't help the churn of guilt in her stomach, so as she walks back with the Pogues, ever thankful that she was even with them in the first place, she makes up her mind on how she was going to show them that she truly appreciated everything they've done for her.

"So do we have a plan for dinner?" Adalaine asks, causing the three boys to scoff at the words.

"We have no money,"

"We also have no food,"

"We can't cook for shit,"

"Great!" Adalaine says with a smile, clapping her hands together. "Takeout?"

"Oooh more shrimp?" Jj says with a smirk. "And beer?!"

"God damn I love fries,"

"I can call my dad..." Kiara suggests with a shrug. But Adalaine scrunches up her nose at the thought.

"Can we please go somewhere else? I love the wreck, really, I do. But I need a change,"

"But fries!" Pope pleads

"And shrimp!" Jj says, raising his hands dramatically

"Are you paying?" Adalaine retorts, her eyebrows raising, and the boys raise their hands in defeat. "Very well, Kiara, can you drive me?"

"You want company?" Jj calls after they head towards Kiara's car.

"No!" they say simultaneously.

"So," Kiara draws out as she pulls out of the chateaus driveway. "Where are we going?"

"Basil Thai?" Adalaine asks with a hopeful glint in her eyes.

A small smile tugs on the curly-haired girls features, memories of staying in the booths til closing running through her mind. "Haven't been there in like a year,"

"So is that a yes?"

"Yeah," she turns to look at Adalaine, who was already grinning widely. "It's a yes, I'm sure the boys will love the place,"

"Oh, we didn't even ask what they wanted,"

"They're boys, they'll eat whatever we bring them,"

The restaurant wasn't busy when they enter, and after debating what to order for ten minutes, Adalaine was certain they had ordered the entire menu.
