SEULGI'S POV

I haven't packed yet because I am now preoccupied with my dad's order. I was so happy awhile ago when we decided to go to Jeju but then, of course, I can't escape my dad. 

"Make Park Jimin fall in love with you. You need to get his shares in his dad's business. Okay? " My dad said as soon as I picked up my phone.

"For what, dad?" I asked out of curiosity.

"We need to acquire it to be more powerful than them." He said. 

"He's a good man, dad. I don't want to do what you want." I said.

"I'm not asking you for a favour. It's an order. Don't mess up with my plans, Seulgi. That's your only job. You better do it right." He said and hanged up the call.

Why does being rich always have this kind of problem. I mean, we are not poor nor our business is suffering. We are doing fine but why does it have to be like this.

"Seulgi?" I heard someone called me behind the doors. 

I opened it and I saw Jimin. 

"Oh Jimin. Why?" I asked and fixed my self in my mind. 

"I just want to talk to you about our engagement." He said straightforwardly. 

"Come in," I said as I motioned him to enter my room. He did it quietly tho.

He sat on my sofa and I also did the same. 

"What about it?" I asked directly.

"Uhm, since we both know that we cannot do anything about it. I just want to ask you something..." He said in a hesitant voice. 

I can feel that he is not quite sure whether he'll ask me or no.  

"Can we try to make it work?" He said which shocked me.

No, why are you being so kind? I'll just hurt you in the end but even though it'll be like that at least I'll get the attention and love of my father. I think that's good enough for me...

"Okay." I said and smiled at him. 

He looked quite shocked by my answer. I held his hands and looked at him straight in the eye.

"I know we are in the most stupid scene of our lives but I don't want to live my life like that my whole life." I said. I think he got what I want to say. He placed his hand over mine and smiled at me.

"We will not." He said and gave me a peck on my lips. 

"Uh, I better go first, so that you can finish your thing." He said and stood up. 

I smiled at him and nod. 

TAEHYUNG'S POV

I am here at Sooyoung's room waiting for her. It's been a long time since we talked and now, I want to talk to her so bad but the topic seems off. 

I was scanning her room, looking at all the photos on her entertainment area beside the sofa. It is mostly her photos and photos with Seulgi noona and Chim but there's one frame that has her photo with Jungkook. 

While looking at those photos, I suddenly felt her presence and went back to see if it is Sooyoung and to my thought, it is her. 

"Oh, what are you doing here?" She asked in a calm but aloof tone. She went to her walk-in and started to look for clothes, I guess. I followed her but I stayed at the entrance of her walk-in.

"Let's talk." I said. I want to say something more than that but I just cant do it. 

"About our engagement? Don't worry. I'll try to talk to my dad about it." She said without even sparing me a look.

"It's not only that--" I was trying to say something but I got cut off. 

"Should I try to talk to your mom as well? I'll try it after Jeju." She said as she picked a dress and went to her luggage. 

I went closer to her. The moment she turned around she got shocked because I was too closed and held onto me. 

"Can you please listen to me first?" I asked while looking at her in the eye. She also did the same but she fixed her posture and did not say anything so I guess it is already my cue. 

"Look, I'm sorry for everything that had happened before. I know that you are not really like that but I just got carried away by the situation." I said. 

"You got carried away by the not so urgent and nonsense situation, you mean." She scoffed. I smiled deep inside me since I got to see the Sooyoung that I've met before.

"Agreed. I'm sorry. Let's not be like this, okay?" I said and cupped her cheeks that made her look at me. Actually, she's glaring at me. She removed my hands but I held her hands. She did not shrug it off and just let it be. 

"I was so mad at you, oppa. Do you know that? That's not the first time that you did that. I let the first one pass but I didn't expect that you'll do the same thing again." She said while looking at me. 

"I know. I was about to talk to you the morning after but you're avoiding me." I said in a low tone.

"Of course, do you expect me to smile at you?" She said and did a side-eye. It made me chuckled. I mess with her hair that made her scowl. 

I pull her into a tight hug that I really miss. I've been searching for this hug and I didn't know that Sooyoung is the one who's going to give it to me.

"Don't do it again, okay?! Or else you will never really see me again." She said and I giggled and nodded. 

She hugged me in return which made me smile.

"I miss you." I said out of nowhere and looked at her.

"Me too." She looked at me and said as she rests her head on my chest and I kissed the top of her head and hugged her even tighter. 

We just hugged each other for 3 minutes or so. 

"Please if we'll have problems in the future, let's talk about it." I said to her. 

"Ne~" She answered.
