Chapter 5

/ Will POV /

"Will!!!!!." Whap! This is Tessa's 'sweet' way of waking me up, yelling at me and hitting me with a pillow. "Will get up or we are going to be late." Tessa says while rolling me on to my back and yanking me up by my arm.

"Ow." I complain. Tessa let's go and throws clothes at me saying get dressed. "I don't think I will without my good morning kiss." I say. Tessa rolls her eyes but comes over and gives me a peck on the cheek. "That was not an actual kiss." I whine. "You weren't specific." Tessa says with a smirk, "Now get dressed." Then she leaves the room slamming the door.

I grumble while pulling my clothes on and then stomp my way down the stairs into the dining room. "Well aren't you just in a good mood today." Tessa grins and bites into a piece of toast. "You missed breakfast so just grab an apple, Charlie is already waiting for us." Tessa says then she goes and gets her jacket and gloves. I shrug on my coat and follow her outside. The sun is blinding at first but my eyes get used to it quickly.

Charlie opens the door to the carriage for Tessa and gives her a hand. I nod my head at him and climb in myself.

/ Tessa POV /

"Chomp, crunch, crunch, Chomp!" Will is the loudest apple chewer I have ever met. "Will chew with your mouth closed." I chastise him. He grins and chews even louder and bigger. I roll my eyes and make a noise of disgust. I look out of the window to look anywhere but at Will and his apple.

The carriage was long and very bumpy, I was glad when we finally rolled to a stop in front of the institute. I step out and am greeted by Charlotte and Sophie. "Hi Tessa we missed you!". "We can't wait to start planning with you." Sophie says. "I've only been gone for 2 days, but I missed you too." I say back to them. Charlotte shoos Will away "You can't see Tessa's dress so go hangout somewhere not here." Charlotte tells Will. "Don't worry Charlotte I won't, I'm going to visit with Magnus Bane, see you in a couple of hours for dinner." Will tells everyone. He gives me a kiss on my cheek and dashes off.

Charlotte pulls me inside already talking about wedding plans. I gave one backwards glance outside before the doors close.

"Ok, I think your dress should stick to shadowhunter tradition and be gold." Charlotte thinks out loud. "I agree." Sophie and I say at the same time. We have been at this for atleast 4 hours. Patience has never been a strong suite of mine so this feels like forever. We have decided on almost all the details and arrangements. Now all we need is to make the dress. Sophie insisted on making it. I don't argue with her, I've seen her work and it is extraordinary.

"Tessa, hello?." Charlotte says while snapping her fingers in my face. Huh, I must have zoned out, I didn't realize it. "Yeah, you definitely did." Sophie says. I didn't realize I said that out loud. I blushed, "Sorry, I have a lot on my mind right now."

"That's quite all right dear," Charlotte says, "We were just saying we need to get more gold thread, we are running low."

"I'll do it." Charlotte tries to stop me but I continue talking, interrupting her. "No really it's okay, I need something physical to do, I'll be back in 15 minutes, tops. See you later." I say, pulling my coat on and exiting on to the busy London streets.
