Hitoshi woke up to an empty house. He knew he wouldn't have school but he didn't think he'd be left alone straight from the get-go. He looked at the clock, he must've slept in because it was already 10 am. They still have to work at UA of course they wouldn't stay home all day.

He stayed in bed just a little longer, exhausted from the night's patrol. This time around Shota allowed Hitoshi to take the lead which was much more than just watch and detain. Granted that very same night Shota had to make the call to have Hitoshi step in when they encountered a particularly tricky villain.

Hitoshi went downstairs and greeted the cats before heading to the kitchen for breakfast. He noticed a note placed on the counter.

Me andHizashi are t UA. There's food in the fridge. The house is all yours so do whatever you like just don't break anything and feed the cats. We'll bring dinner home and I'll train you tonight.

Well, who would've thought I'd have my teachers' and friend's house all to myself. Hitoshi thought. He looked to his left and saw Mocha waiting to be fed.

"What do you think I should do?"

To say Shoto was surprised would be the biggest understatement of the century. Even when he knew today wouldn't be normal, he didn't think it would be this abnormal.

That morning's breakfast, Endeavor had tried to make conversation with him but instead of asking about training, he asked about Shoto's friends of all things.

Then when they arrived at the agency, Endeavor hadn't dragged Shoto to training like the previous day. Instead today he taught both Iruka and Shoto the basics of running an agency. sure he eventually did train Shoto however he also trained Iruka instead of making her train with one of the sidekicks.

And now they were on patrol. Iruka was lecturing Endeavor about seeming more approachable. It was rather amusing to Shoto watching the number 2 hero get lectured like a child by a high schooler.

Shoto didn't actually pay any mind to his father's sudden change. Sure his father was trying to make amends, unfortunately, he knew nothing would erase the past.

Something Shoto did pay attention to was how Iruka had changed. She wasn't shy and reserved like the first time he had met her. But not right now. Right now she wasn't scared to speak her mind. Right now she was lecturing the number 2 hero like he was a toddler. Right now Shoto was proud of her though he didn't understand why.

Hitoshi decided he would spend the day studying sign language. He had wanted to get much better at it before the next time he had to see Iruka. He also wanted to learn what exactly was it that he signed during the sports festival that made Izuku so mad.

"What if He/She want boy no girl?" Hitoshi mumbled to himself. "What if he want boy no girl? Not.. What if he wants boy not girl. Well that sounds like something, doesn't it Frappe?" He looked at the cat that curled on his bed.

The more Hitoshi looked into it the more confused he got. Especially when he had to reverse search the signs to words instead of vice versa.

By 2pm he felt like he had a good gist of what he was signing but something just wasn't clicking.

==========

"Iruka could I ask you something about Midoriya?"

"Go for it Shoto." The two laid on the floor in Shoto's room as they waited for dinner. Somehow they ended up studying for finals that were soon to come rolling around.
