The next day rolled in like the breeze playing with the clouds. The room in which two teens share is in a comfortable peace with only the sounds of their breathing heard. One of them had woken up, mind fuzzy and a little confused as to where he was until he turned and saw Iruka.
She was still asleep and she looked at peace. He hadn't realised he was staring until Iruka finally stirred. He quickly rolled to the other side, but ultimately, fell off the bed. There was a moment of silence as Iruka looked over, concerned for her friend It didn't last long, Iruka burst into a fit of laughter. Hitoshi wasn't embarrassed, well maybe a little, but he was glad to see her smile. It was a smile he'd love to wake up to any day.
Iruka finally calmed from her laugh attack that left the room to be filled with silence once more.
"So what are our plans today miss Animia?" Hitoshi asked, amusement in his voice.
"Hmm, breakfast?"
=========
They quickly changed, Iruka in her hero costume paired with a small backpack (because they were convenient and left her hands empty most of the time) and her scarf of course. Hitoshi wore a pair of cargo pants and a long-sleeved shirt. When asked about his choice in clothing Hitoshi merely shrugged and said "Sleep will kill me before a heat stroke does." ("Hitoshi you don't sleep." "Exactly.")
Iruka was a little overwhelmed with so many smells and sounds around them, but her stomach reminded her of their priority, breakfast. They would've eaten back at the hotel, but sleeping in had made them miss the scheduled time to eat, leaving them with the best breakfast Iruka could think of, carnival food.
There were stalls everywhere around the expo so there was no shortage of food. Though Iruka had suggested doughnuts, Hitoshi had declined and opted to get waffles instead.
As they walked around they realised they were on the more inventive side of the expo. They were offered flyers and brochures for all sorts of things. It was slowly getting more crowded, so Hitoshi suggested they took a break to finish their breakfast and figure out what they wanted to do first.
Lucky for them a tree was well in their perimeters so a resting point it had become. Iruka sat down and spread out the flyers they had gotten to get a better look.
"Hitoshi wanna go on the roller coasters here?"
"Huh they made a map of the place, nice." Hitoshi finished his waffle before taking a better look at the map. "Wait aren't these attractions like on the other side of the expo?"
"Well ya but we could go in from one end to another and end it back here."
"Well sounds like a plan to me. I guess we're picking the rollercoaster when we get there?"
"Nope, we're going on them all!" Iruka cheered.
==========
Thankfully the expo was pretty large so in the time it took them to finally walk all the way to the attraction side Hitoshi deemed it was ok to get on the roller coaster without spilling their breakfast everywhere.
The first roller coaster they went on had compartments that made you feel like you were in bubbles. A staff member gave a brief explanation that the ride was completely safe and to have fun before letting them go.
They slowly they eased into the tunnel before them. Iruka's heart raced. This was an indoor roller coaster so she had no clue was to expect. She could feel gravity work its magic as Iruka leaned back. The bubbles they sat in was cool but her palm's started to sweat.
"Nervous?"
"No just- OH FUUUUUUCKK!" A string of cuss words leaving Iruka's mouth as they dropped.
The lights around them illuminated. Every twist and turn unseen. Although Iruka was strapped n she still felt as though she could float. There were squeals and shouts all around her. It felt like there was no end until they were launched upwards. It didn't register in Iruka's mind until they were slowly floating around the room.
