It took almost 5 minutes to fix the stage but no amount of time would've calmed Iruka down from what had happened to Izuku.
"Iruka you have to calm down, Midoriya will be fine. Didn't you say it yourself before, Recovery Girl is the best of the best." Hitoshi tried to calm Iruka down but obviously failed.
"Well yes, but surgery? Surely that means he isn't in good shape at all." Iruka was pacing back and forth playing with her scarf.
"Hey Whiskers quit fidgeting. You said you'd show dunce face what a fragile girl looks like or are you going to forfeit a match?" Katsuki teased. He knew Iruka needed a little push to get her out of her own head so this was the best Katsuki could think of.
"No way am I forfeiting. Fine I'll see you when I win this match." Iruka huffed and went down to the field where Denki was waiting.
"Ladies and gentlemen we have our electrifying student Kaminari Denki versus the one of many animals Ito Iruka!!" Mic shouted as the crowd erupted.
"I'm not going to hold back Ito." Denki said as his hands sparked but Iruka merely smiled.
When their fight began Denki immediately shot his electricity at Iruka but she quickly jumped up and transformed into a tiny cockroach. This effectively confused Denki at first and he stopped but he hadn't realised Iruka was running towards him.
Iruka transformed back and gave Denki a good punch and a kick to the face which knocked him back. Although startled Denki shot another round which was much stronger thus making him short circuit. Iruka once again evaded him by transforming into a fruit fly but she still was electrocuted slightly. Iruka took advantage of Denki short circuiting and pushed him right out of bounds.
"It looks like we have our top 4. And with that the semi finals are over. Moving on to the next match."
"I better see you in the finals Kacchan." Iruka said as she passed the blonde.
"Tch can't wait to see you beat Icy Hot." He smirked and headed off to the field as Iruka dragged herself up to the stands. She was only slightly electrocuted so she didn't think she would need to see Recovery Girl.
On her way up she saw a familiar face. It was Shoto talking to his father. Iruka didn't think much of it until she realised Shoto didn't seem like he wanted to be there in the first place. She didn't think but her body moved on its own and it was heading towards the two.
"Umm sorry to bother you two but Aizawa Sensei would like to see Todoroki-kun for a moment." Iruka made up the lie on the spot.
"Me?" "Excuse me?" The two said at the same time. Endeavor sounded rather offended.
"Y-Yes. I'm sorry I'm not sure what he needs you for but best not to anger him. Have a good day, Endeavor, come on Todoroki-kun." Iruka grabbed Shoto by the wrist and dragged him away. Once they were well out of sight and Iruka was sure she no longer could smell the man she let go of Shoto's hand and continued to walk towards the stands.
"I thought Aizawa Sensei wanted to see me?" Shoto questioned.
"Ah sorry about that. I'm really sorry but you looked uncomfortable and I thought you might need some help so I made up the lie. I'm really sorry if I shouldn't have done that." Iruka rambled on.
"No, it's fine. Father was just nagging. Don't worry about it." Iruka nodded and they both went to the stands.
When they got there they saw that Katsuki was beating Fumikage easily. It was thanks to the amount of light Katsuki's explosions released that weakened Dark Shadow which gave Katsuki a huge advantage, especially with how quick Katsuki was moving.
At some point, Dark Shadow tried to grab Katsuki but he managed to fling himself backwards and sent a few more explosions towards his opponent. Once the smoke cleared you could see Katsuki had Fumikage pinned to the ground and Fumikage gave in.
"I guess there wasn't a point of coming up here huh. Come on Todoroki-kun." Iruka said, sighing as she headed back down.
"See you in the finals dumbass. Don't you dare lose got it." Iruka nodded and followed Shoto down to the field. The winner of this match would go up against Katsuki.
Iruka held onto her scarf and took a deep breath. I'll win. I have to. Katsuki has been getting a bad rep since his fight with Ochaco and putting him in his place might show everyone that he doesn't have to hold back against anyone.
"Now our next match will determine Bakugo's rival. Both rivalling each other in strength and speed, Ito Iruka versus Todoroki Shoto!!" Iruka took another breath.
When the fight began Iruka didn't jump up like she usually would but instead she moved to her right which was the best call as it had allowed her to avoid Shoto's massive glassier attack.
"Unlike Izuku I'm not willing to drag this fight on." Iruka rushed towards Shoto and grabbed his left shoulder and quickly tossed him over. Iruka stepped far back knowing full well that wasn't enough to knock Shoto out but wasn't sure if he was injured or not.
Shoto got up and sent another blast in Iruka's way. Iruka evaded it again, this time going up. She dived towards Shoto from behind and kicked him. From then on she continued to attack as rapidly as possible while trying to not get frozen in place completely. Of course there was no way to avoid Shoto's attacks completely and Iruka was starting to get cold.
When Iruka noticed Shoto was starting to shiver, a plan came to mind. If he wasn't going to use his left side she was going to have to use that to her advantage. After giving Shoto a kick to his stomach Iruka moved up behind him and transformed her legs and hands into a bird's feet and wings respectively.
She grabbed Shoto's shoulders and went up immediately. Shoto was surprised by the sudden movement and at first didn't do anything but he thought quickly not knowing what Iruka wanted to do and froze her leg.
The second she felt the cold Iruka tossed Shoto as hard as she could not really see the direction in which he went. Shoto was flung right out of bounds and landed on the ground. Iruka on the other hand landed on the stage wincing at the cold.
"Iruka wins and advances to the final round!" Mic shouted.
"Oh my god Todoroki!" Iruka yelled out as she tried to run at him. She wasn't sure how hard the impact was but she wasn't ready to give someone a concussion especially not the son of the number 2 hero. "Todoroki-kun are you ok? Oh I'm really sorry-" Iruka yelped when Shoto had moved his left hand towards Iruka's leg but she calmed down when she noticed he was melting the ice on her leg.
"Sorry about that Ito." Iruka shook her head and helped him up. They both headed off the field together but Iruka headed towards the waiting room while Shoto headed up to the stands.
I'm going to go up against Kacchan. That shouldn't be too bad. He isn't going to hold back but I don't need him to. I'll beat him and prove to everyone that a girl doesn't need to be pitied. I'll show them that I can fight better than him.
