I'm backkkk
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shoto stirred awake feeling something warm and fluffy laying on his left side. At first he thought it had just been a pillow when he realised there were no fluffy pillows in the room. He jolted up pushing whatever was on him onto the floor. He could see specks of white but couldn't be sure because of how dark the room was so he got up and pulled the curtains back. When the room finally lit up with sunlight Shoto realised what had been on top of him.
"A cat?" A black and white cat specifically. It had been stretching until it heard Shoto's voice and froze. To Shoto's surprise the cat turned into Iruka or more accurately Iruka de-transformed.
"Ahhh Shoto I am so sorry. I must've gotten cold last night. And you were warm and," She paused and looked at Shoto. " I'm really sorry."
"It's alright. You wouldn't be the first cat to sleep on my left side. Anyways we should get changed and head down to breakfast." Shoto stated, no longer phased from what had just happened. Iruka on the other hand flushed pink as she cursed herself on the way to her room.
Once they had changed, they both headed down to the dining hall. It wasn't a surprise to already see a few people there. There was a particular sidekick that had greeted them that morning.
"Heyya you two. Oh you must be the other kid interning with Endeavor. The name's Burnin." The hero in front of them held out her hand.
"Oh umm I'm Iruka."
"Well then you two should eat up. Who knows what Endeavor would put you through today." Burnin joked but it sent a shiver down Iruka's spine. She didn't like the idea of spending even a second with Endeavor but if Shoto could deal with the man for 16 years she could deal with him for a week.
Just as they finished breakfast, Endeavor walked in.
"Today I will be training Shoto before patrol. Ito you will be having combat training with Burnin." Was all he said before he left. Iruka's first instinct was to check up on her friend. She had a horrible feeling when it came to that man but that feeling got worse when Shoto was part of the equation. The only reaction that came from the boy was a sigh, whether it was relief or boredom or something else completely, Iruka could not be sure.
As planned Shoto followed his father to one training room while Burnin led Iruka to another. She found it a little unnerving knowing there was a separate training room.
Iruka was told to land at least one hit on Burnin. Burnin's quirk allowed her to envelope herself in flames, only she didn't cover her face. Iruka wasn't sure if that was the drawback or because Burnin wanted to give Iruka a chance. If the latter was the case she sure underestimated Iruka.
The second they started Iruka rushed forward but before Burnin's flames could even touch her, Iruka had already changed into a tiny fly. In the midst of things, Burnin didn't have time to search for Iruka before she was punched right in the face.
"That's some incredible speed you have there." Burnin smirked. "For an amateur." Sure enough the next few times Iruka had failed to so much as graze Burnin but she wasn't at a complete loss.
Iruka noticed patterns and used that to her advantage. Of course soon Burnin caught up with the tactic and switched it up but no matter how much she tried to change her moves Iruka always seemed to find a pattern.
"Ok I take it back you're really good." Burnin chugged down some water.
"Well for you, once you change it up, your body will run on auto pilot and turn your movements into a pattern." Iruka explained. Burnin was impressed to say the least.
