The next morning, Iruka found Hitoshi, Mezo and Ren waiting outside for them.
"Guys, this is 1-C's class rep."
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Ren Okumura."
Together they walked to school. While 1-A changed into their hero costumes, the other three headed to gym gamma, where Shouta and Cementoss would be waiting for them.
"Ito told me you would be joining training today. Okumura, give me a rundown of your quirk."
"Blood Ants, I am able to make ants from my own blood. The older the blood the weaker the bite, the more ants I make the harder it is to control."
"So you can store blood?"
"Ya, haven't managed to store for more than a week, though."
"I have 1-A work on ultimate moves, so none of you have anywhere to fit in. However, I would like to see your combat skills. Shoji, you have been learning with Ectoplasm in combat, yes?" A nod. "Good, you and Okumura you will have a one-on-one battle with Shoji, no quirks."
Cementoss made them a platform to which Ren and Mezo stepped on. They both got into their stance. When Shouta announced allowed them to start, Ren was the first one to move. He bounced on the balls of his feet, slowly moving towards Mezo. The other merely eyed Ren before they went to kick Mezo in the side. Mezo blocked with a hand, but Ren gave two more kicks before backing up.
Ren moved again, this time jumping up and aiming Mezo's head with a 360 kick. Mezo blocked it and punched Ren in the gut, pushing him back. They recovered quickly and rushed back, gave rapid kick to Mezo's sides. When Mezo went in for a punch, Ren slipped behind him. They once again attempt a jumping 360 from behind. Mezo barely dodged it and pushed Ren right out of the ring, ending their sparring session.
"Midoriya, what did you see during their fight." Ren hadn't realised all of 1-A had arrived.
"Uh, Shoji fights primarily with his upper body and opts to stay in one spot, which can be useful but could give his opponent the idea that Shoji wouldn't be able to chase them down. Okumura primarily uses his-"
"They,"
"Oh sorry, uses their legs to fight and stays light on their feet. They tend to move around a lot, which could lead to a lot of their energy running out fast."
"He got that from one fight?" Okumura mumbled.
"Correct. Now, this goes for all of you. In a battle, you need to know how to stand your ground, but that doesn't mean your feet are glued to it. In this fight, Shoji didn't have to move to find an opening, Okumura did that for him." Okumura winces slightly. "Now all of you find a partner and continue working on your ultimate moves, Shinsou you can join them."

"ALL MIGHT WATCH OUT!" Katsuki yelled out.
Everyone nearby looked up to see chunks of rubble falling towards the former number 1. Iruka jumped, but a flurry of green was faster in destroying it into smaller pieces. Iruka changed her toes into tentacles and grabbed onto the smaller pieces. Making sure no one got hurt.
"Woah Midoriya, that was epic!"
"Dude, I thought you usually punched things."
Izuku scratched the back of his neck, "Ah well, it's getting a little dangerous for me to use my hands. And now that I'm better at controlling my quirk, I won't break the bones in my legs. These new soles are helping a lot too."
"Seems like everyone is getting modifications for their costumes."
"Ya, even Ito is looking extra badass." Iruka rolled her eyes at Denki's comment.
