Chapter 12

(Y/n)'s POV

After a whole day, it had finally come to the part where Elijah was going back to Massachusetts.
We were already at the airport, his flight was going to depart in less than ten minutes, so he couldn't stay for long.

We stopped, and said our last goodbyes to each other.

"Well, I hope I'll see you guys next time. I've had a great time here. Maybe come by to Mass next?" Elijah said, hugging Sub first then me.

"Thanks for coming dude, and yeah. Definitely going there on our next free vacation." Sub responded.

I simply smiled. I didn't have anything else to say.
Well I did.
I wanted to tell him I was going to miss him badly, and he's a sweet guy. He's just... amazing.

But of course, it would be embarrassing just to spit it out. It would make everything kind of weird, it's only been a week but I feel like I've known him for months.

"Um, is it okay if I talk to Y/n for a couple of minutes?" Elijah asked, facing my brother.

"Sure. I'll go buy some snacks." My older brother replied, already running towards the small food court; always hungry.

"Well, I really wanted to say.. is I wanna be more than friends with you Y/n," Elijah said.

I froze, I sank in the words he said, was he asking me out?? I literally couldn't say anything, but stutter.

"I know it's only been a week, we've gotten to know each other, but I really like you." He blushed.

Now I felt bad. I wasn't going to accept something like this so quick in less time. How could I know how he would react after our first argument? Do I fully commit and trust someone I've recently met? I don't know.

I mean we had our moments, but I'm not sure what I feel about him... yet...

I'm sorry Elijah.

"Look, um I thank you that you like me... it's that... I guess I'm not ready yet." I replied, completely breaking the eye contact so I didn't have to see his pleading eyes.

"Oh, I see." I heard Elijah say. "Well, thanks for everything. I appreciate it."

Then he walked off. Just like that.

"Elijah-"

He was already gone.
