I sat up. It was dark. I felt around the tent until I found a bag. I opened it up and found a flashlight. I turned it on. It was completely dark outside. What time was it? I quickly got up and shone the flashlight around the tent. Just then a noise behind me scared me. "What are you doing? Its late, you should be asleep." Said Marco. I jumped. I slapped his arm playfully. "Don't scare me like that!" I whisper yelled. He chuckled. "Sorry." He said sarcastically. "I better head back home. Jonah is probably worried sick right now." I said quietly. Marco grabbed my arm. "Please stay, you can go back tomorrow." He begged. I giggled at his cuteness. "Fine, but let me tell Jonah." I said while grabbing my walkie-talkie. "Jonah, are you awake?" I whispered into the walkie-talkie. After a couple seconds I got a reply. "I am now." Jonah said tiredly. "Im gonna stay the night here but I will be back in the morning, ok? So tell mom not to worry." I told him. "Ok, and by the way, mom still isn't home yet." Jonah told me. My heart stopped beating when he said that. "Well don't worry, if shes not back by tomorrow, then we will go look for her, okay?" I told him. "Okay." He told me. "Goodnight Jonah." I said while yawning. "Goodnight Sami." Jonah mumbled. I sat down my walkie-talkie. I got shivers down my body because I could feel Marcos warm breath go down my back. "Can we go back to sleep now?" He whispered in my ear. I yawned and nodded my head. Marco turned off the flashlight and I lay my head down on his chest. He fell asleep almost instantly. I lay there wondering what happened to my mother. But then another thought popped in my head. Do I have feelings for Marco? No, It cant be. Marcos just a friend. We haven't even known each other that long. But every time he smiles a part of me melts. I don't know, but for right now I need to realize that Marcos only here for a little bit, and plus, I don't have time in life for a boyfriend. Okay, who am I kidding, I have nothing but time. After thinking for a while I started to doze off. Then I finally fell asleep into a dream.
Samantha's dream~
I woke up. I heard someone scream. I ran down the hallway and into a quiet room. I have no idea where I am. The scream happened again. It was coming from the closet. I opened up the door and saw a little girl who was in the corner crying. "Honey, whats wrong?" I whispered. "I-Im scared mom." She said. "Mom?" I thought to myself. I looked at the little girl closely. I ignored the fact that she called me mom and kept talking to her. "What are you scared of?" I asked her. "There is some noises coming from underneath my bed." She said while crying. I giggled at the little girls cuteness. "Well lets go see whats under your bed." I told her. She smiled and took my hand and I bent down and wiped her tears away with my thumb. She lead me into a room across from the one I was sleeping in. I turned on the light and saw a colorful room. The walls were pink and there was posters on the wall of cute puppies and kittens. In the middle of the room was a rug and in the corner was a bunk bed. On the top bunk, on the sides there were the letters that spelt out Jenna on it. On the bottom bunk, there was letters on the bottom bunk that said Miranda. I looked at the little girl. "Wheres your sister at?" I asked her. She looked at me with a confused look on her face. "She went to Jasmines house remember mom?" She said while giggling. I smiled and pretended to go along with it. I ducked down and looked under the bed. Nothing was under there. I stood up and sighed. "Nope, nothing is in here." I said. I turned around and the little girl was gone. I looked around the house but couldn't find her.
End of dream~
Just then I woke up. I looked over to Marco and saw that he was gone. It was light outside. I unzipped the tent and saw some movement coming from the forest. I reached for the same bag I found last night and found some binoculars. I looked through them and saw a boy on a black horse. He was riding pretty fast. The boy was heading this way too. I watched as he got closer. I could finally realized who it was as the person got closer. I was speechless. It was....
