"Thanks, I guess."

I turned around to see a boy around my age. He smiled at me. He had black hair, like me, tanned skin, and he was wearing all camo with a gun in his pocket. I swear, me and him could be brother and sister. I had long straight black hair, and tan skin, which is really surprising because I'm hardly ever outside. He snapped me out of my thoughts when he started to talk again.

"So, I've never seen you around here before. Where do you live?"

"Oh, I live up here in the mountains with my mother and my brother. I don't ever go down to town, because my mother doesn't want anything to happen to me."

"Well, let me introduce myself, I'm Marco, but everybody calls me Marc." He said while sticking his hand out.

"I'm Samantha, you can call me Sami." I said while shaking his hand.

His hand was quite larger than my own. It swallowed my hand as he shook it. When he pulled away, my hand felt empty and cold.

He smiled at me. I felt my stomach turn and I looked down and fiddled with my fingers.

"Samantha, that's a pretty name." He told me.

I blushed and put a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"Thanks."

"So, what are you doing way over here?" I asked him curiously.

"Oh, I came out on a hunting trip with some friends of mine. Our camp site is just south of here about half a mile."

 "Cool."

"So what are you going to do with that raccoon?" He asked.

I turned around and looked at the lifeless animal. I felt kind of bad for killing it, but what was I suppose to eat?

"I'm gonna cook it for my brother and I to eat."

"Oh. What about your mother?"

"My mother is down in town getting some groceries. But she should be back by tonight."

 I told him.

"Do you need help cooking it?" He asked referring to the raccoon.

I've never cooked a whole raccoon before so I am gonna need help.

"Ya, this is my first time ever hunting and actually catching something." I told him honestly.

 We both started to laugh.

"Okay sure, I've cooked tons of raccoon's before, just let me tell the wrest of my friends where I will be at."

Marco pulled a walkie-talkie out of his bag.

"Hey guys, I found a girl and I'm gonna go over to her house and help her cook a raccoon. I'll be back soon."

After a few seconds, I heard somebody talk on the other line.

"Okay, let us know if the girl is hot." Said one of the guys.

Marco blushed and started to talk again.

"Oh shut up Derek."

Marco turned of his walkie-talkie and started to walk over to the raccoon. He helped me pack up the net and the rope and he carried the raccoon while I carried everything else.

Once we got back to the house I unlocked the door and walked into the house.

I sat the stuff down on the table and pulled put a cutting board and Marco sat the raccoon down on the board.

"Jonah, I'm home." I yelled.

"Okay."

A few seconds later Jonah came out of his room on his crutches.

"Jonah this is Marco, Marco this is Jonah." I introduced them.

"What happened to you?" Asked Marco.

"I was jumping up and down on the couch and I fell and sprained my ancle."

 "Yikes, I bet that hurt."

 "Ya it did."

"Did you catch anything?" Jonah asked us.

"Yep your sister caught a raccoon all by her self."

Jonah laughed and I blushed. Marco saw me blush and he wrapped his arm around me. He smirked at me.

"Yep shes one fierce chick." Said Marco.

 I busted up laughing.

"Are you sure we are talking about the same girl?" Jonah chuckled.

I rolled my eyes but continued to laugh.

"What do you mean?" asked a now curious Marco.

"Just the other day, I cried when my mom killed a butterfly with a fly swatter." I said while trying my best to say it as serious as I possibly could.

Marco looked down at my brother.

"Is that really true?"

"Sadly yes." Said my brother before busting up laughing.

I walked over to the table while Marco took of his coat and put it on the coat rack next to the kitchen table.

"So how about I cook the raccoon and you go back into the woods and gather berries and other stuff."

"Ya sure, I guess that works." I told him.

He nodded and got up and walked over to the raccoon. I got up and found a basket and walked outside.
