Hey guys. So I want to keep writing and I will. So here's an over due update :)

I walked into the lunch room sitting down at a random table, further away from most of the people in here. If I don't bother people, people won't bother me, right?

I took out the sandwich David made for me this morning and reached for the water bottle that peaked out of the small pocket of my back pack. The sandwich was my favorite; tuna salad on whole wheat bread. It's been a while since I've had it, which makes it even better. I dig into my lunch when my phone buzzes in my pocket.

JJ <3: "So how's school goin? You got lunch now right?"

I smiled answering back, "Boring, annoying, lonely... And yeah."

JJ <3: Aww :( wish I can be there to sit with you...

"It's whatever... I'm used to it..."

JJ <3: "That's not something to get used to :/"

"I would put your phone away if I were you," a voice said beside me. "Administration is really cracking down on people who have their phones out."

A short girl with red hair and brown eyes sat down next to me. I felt uncomfortable. If I sit over here that should mean I don't want to be talked to.

"I'm so sorry. Do you not me to sit with you?" She asked concerned, getting up from the seat.

"Umm. You can sit here. If you want," I answered looking down at my hands that are starting to get clammy.

"Oh, alright," she sat back down. "I'm Cat by the way. It's short for Catherine. What's your name?"

"A-Alyssa."

"You're new here aren't you?"

Why is she asking so many questions. Is my life seriously that interesting to everyone?

"Um, yeah."

"Let me see your schedule," Cat held out her hand as I took my schedule out of my back pack.

She looked over the piece of paper, her brown eyes staring intently at it. I smile creeped on her lips, "We have art and history together."

I smiled at her when the bell rang.

"My class is on the other side of the building so I gotta run. I'll see ya in art," Cat said running over to another group of friends.

I reached down to pick up my bag and smiled to myself.

It's hard to tell but I think I just made an actual friend.
