*jack g*
I couldn't sit still. My body just wouldn't let me. Especially after what I did to Alyssa.
Why did I have to do that to her? Why did I push her into that fucking bookcase? Why do I hate her? Come to think of it I don't really know.
I've been nothing but mean and nasty to her and I never had a specific reason. She didn't deserve anything that I said or did to her, especially from the get go.
I'm happy she came here. I'm happy that ever since she met Jack he's been happier. Im happy that she's happier with Jack. Im happy that the guys have her, she's so sweet to anyone she meets. I'm happy that my parents have her. And most importantly, I'm happy that she's here with me, but I had to be selfish and think only of myself. She can be dying for all I know and it's all my fault.
"Jack!" A voice knocked me out of my hideous thought.
I looked up and saw Jack with Nash and Cameron not far behind him.
"What happened?" He asked frantically.
I swallowed hard," I um. I."
I couldn't make out any words. How am I supposed to tell him that I crushed Alyssa with a book case?
"You what? Spit it out!" Nash yelled.
I ran my fingers through my hair, collecting my thoughts, "I pushed her into the book case and it fell on top of her. Once I realized what I did I rushed her here. I'm so sorry. I don't know what I was doing! They won't let me see her. I'm so sorry."
All three of them were silent, looking at each other stunned.
"This is all my fault," I sobbed into my hands.
"So what you're telling me is that Alyssa could be dying right now and you are taking blame for it?" Jack's voice asked.
I nodded my head. Suddenly, hands gripped the collar of my shirt and I was slammed into the nearest wall.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Jack screamed in my face.
"Dude, I'm sorry. I don't know why I did that."
"Do you know how much trouble you an get in? It can affect our career! You know Alyssa means so fucking much to me! For all we know, we could have lost her! I could have lost her!" He tightened his grip on my shirt.
His usual light blue eyes turned dark and tears began to form at the corners of them.
"Johnson get off of him," Cameron tried to pry him off of me.
"It's all his fault! Alyssa can be dying right now and it's all his fault!"
Nash helped out Cameron and finally got Jack off of me and held him back.
"You bet your ass that you will be paying for everything that you did!" Jack tried to writhe out of their grip.
"I didn't mean it!" I yelled.
My voice was hoarse.
"You better stop yelling before I call the police to escort you out!" A man's voice said from behind me.
We all nodded our heads and I fixed my shirt.
"Good. Now who is closest to Miss Alyssa?"
"Me," Jack and I said simultaneously.
"I'm her foster brother," I said to him.
"You don't mean shit to her, Gilinsky. Let me go see her. I am very close to her," Jack said to him.
"I'm family to her," I turned to Jack.
"She doesn't want anything to do with you. You've made it quite clear that you couldn't give less than a shit about her!" He argued back.
We continued to argue back and forth over each other.
"Enough!" The doctor yelled shutting us up. "Are you boys any close with her?" He pointed to Cameron and Nash.
"Um, not really. We are just friends of her," Nash answered, looking back and forth between the doctor and Cameron.
"Since you two aren't arguing I'll let it slide. Are you boys going to argue?"
I looked at Jack and he looked at me, we both nodded for the sake of Alyssa.
"We'll behave," Jack answered.
"Let's go," he lead us down the hallway to the elevators.
We piled in and he pushed the eighth floor. All of us were silent. None of us wanted to get escorted out so we all just stayed quiet.
The door opened and we stepped out.
"Room eight ninety one at the end of the hall. You cause a commotion and you're out, got it?" He asked.
We all nodded our heads.
"Good," the doctor walked away.
We all traveled in silence until we got to the room.
I looked in the window and saw her eyes open looking out the window to the parking lot. A bandage was on her right arm, one around her knee, another around her head, and an oxygen mask over her mouth and nose.
My heart sank.
Jack is going to kill me.
Nash opened the door and we all followed behind him.
"Lyss?" Jack asked.
She looked over in our direction. Fear immediately ran into her eyes.
"Go away," she whispered, looking straight into my eyes.
"Alyssa I-"
"Go away!" She tried saying louder.
"You'll talk to her later. Just let Johnson and Nash talk to her," Cameron said to me, leading me out of the room.
I turned my head towards her. She was still looking at me.
I mouthed the words, 'I'm so sorry' and walked out of the room.
