*alyssa*
My first day back was finally over and I couldn't be anymore relieved, but I also feel stressed because there is a lot of things I need to make up. I'm not looking forward to anything that has to do with school.
On my way out Cat stopped me.
"You wanna ride home?" She asked politely.
I shook my head, "No thanks, it's actually a nice day today."
Well it's kinda not. It's raining and it's thirty something degrees.
"Okay um. You're going crazy. So I'm driving you home. Let's go," she tried to grab my arm.
"Cat please. I seriously want to walk. My physical therapist said to do a little bit more walking."
She sighed, "Okay, but if you catch a cold, those lips won't be touching Jay's for a week, maybe longer."
Cat always called Jack, Jay. She said it was some inside joke or something when they were friends. I looked at her as she smirked, "Catherine. We aren't even dating!"
"You just wait," she added as she walked away.
I shook my head laughing a bit.
We aren't even dating.
I walked outside and I was immediately cold. Shit. I should have taken a ride from Cat.
Oh well. I took a deep breathe and walked out from under the over hang in the front.
Rain immediately began to pelt my thin windbreaker jacket, making me feel cold. I haven't even been out here for two minutes and I'm already freezing.
Ugh!
"I know you'd be cold," a voice says from next to me in the road.
I looked over and saw Cat.
"Get in. You're going to get sick."
I smiled getting into her SUV.
"What would I do without you, Cat?"
"Freeze to death and Jay would be heartbroken," she snickered, over exaggerating the word "heartbroken".
Heat rushed into my body.
"Once again, we aren't dating."
"Once again," she mocked. "Just wait."
I rolled my eyes again as she pulled into my drive way.
"Thanks for the ride. I'll text you later."
"Can do! See ya!"
I ran to the door taking out my keys from my backpack and unlocked the door. Once I walked into the house, I ran straight to my room to get changed. I hated sitting in wet clothes.
Once I reached my room, I threw my bag to the floor and grabbed a pair of sweats and a t-shirt.
"Thanks for the greeting babe," someone says from behind me, making me jump.
My hand flys up to my chest and I turn around. I try to settle my breathing.
"Jack?"
"How are you?" He asked pulling me into a hug.
