"So she just jumped? Just like that?" Paul asked Jacob as he explained how Bella tried her share of cliff jumping.
"And I thought I had problems." Jared snarked.
"Wait, so how did you get the black eye then?" I asked. I had my doubts that Bella swan could do that to a wolf, but someone of equal strength could. I felt like I knew the answer.
Jacob rubbed the sore spot on his face before answering. "Well, I poked a wolf with a stick and got hit." He explained.
"Wait, Casey hit you?" Sam questioned.
Paul laughed. "Damn, I'm gonna give that kid a medal the next time I see him."
"Shut up, Paul." Jake retorted.
"What did you do to make Casey punch you?" I continued. I was worried. Casey was usually very calm and collected, but seeing how off he'd been the last few days the news of him hitting his cousin was concerning to say the least.
"Well, Bella was being fucking stupid, and now because of her little stunt one of the Cullens came back to town, so I got mad and-"
"What?" Sam cut him off. "They're back?"
"Only one of them from what I could tell. I never went inside. Casey kinda made me take a walk after my meltdown. I've never seen him that pissed. His eyes fucking glowed!"
"What do you mean his eyes glowed?" Quil asked.
"I don't know, when he got pissed his eyes went gold. It was freaky."
"Huh, that's new." Sam said.
"Wait, so he's alone with them?" I asked worriedly, choosing to focus on the more important part of his statement. The idea of Casey being alone with a vampire wasn't exactly a nice one. I didn't want him to get hurt.
"Yeah, don't worry about it. He's fine, trust me." He grazed the noticeable bruise on his face. It'll be gone in a few days. "Both him and Jessie are there." Jacob answered. Great, Jess was there too? Throw anyone else I care about in the mix and we'd have a whole damn party.
Paul's eyes widened. "You left her alone with a vampire?" He growled. He was beginning to lose it.
"She's fine, Paul. No one screamed. Casey made it very clear he had things under control." Jake rolled his eyes. He was in a sour mood. All in all, Jacob was a dick.
"Yeah, but I doubt you were around long enough to make sure. You were too busy being pissed about Bella!" Paul retorted.
"If you care so much about her why don't you go and check on her?!"
