Gutter ball

Time skip two weeks.
Gabby and Casey called off the engagement and Boden is on ferlow because he just lost his father. Casey convinced Severide to come back.

I got up and showered and put on my work clothes. I did my makeup and brushed my hair. I went out to Antonio's side of the bed.

Kendra: baby
Antonio: Huh
Kendra: It's time to get up.
Antonio: ok.

I laid next to him and put my head on his chest. I sighed.

Antonio: What's wrong?
Kendra: Nothing I'm fine.
Antonio: What's wrong. I know it's something.
Kendra: Bodens on ferlow and a relief chief is taking over. I feel like he's going to suck because hes coming from 17. I heard 17 was the worst house in Chicago.
Antonio: Well. If we get a chance we can stop by and visit.
Kendra: That'd be cool. I'm sure Severide would like to see Erin.
Antonio: Yeah.

I went and made breakfast. We ate together then I left for work. I put my stuff away.

?: Excuse me miss.

I looked over.

?: I'm relief Chief Pridgen.
Kendra: Nice to meet you.

I shook his hand. We went out.

Truck 81 squad three ambo 61 man stuck.

We went out and put our stuff on and got into the sqad. We went to the call. We walked in and they went and did their thing I did what I could to help.

Casey: Here Otis you take this and Kendra you take this.

He handed us bags. As we were walking back Otis slipped and fell. Pridgen laughed.

Pridgen: Has this guy never been bowling before? They wax the floors. I'm gonna call you gutter ball.

He got up and fell again. I helped him up.

Otis: Thanks.

I helped him walk to the main floor.

Pridgen: Look at him being escorted by his girlfriend

I wanted to punch the guy. I ignored him and we went outside. We put the stuff away and got in. We went back.

Severide: I can't believe he made fun of Otis like that.
Kendra: You think he'd at least try and be nice.

I sat back. We got back to the house. The chief pulled in. We went in and sat down. I didn't see Severide anywhere.

Truck 81 Squad three engine 51 structure fire.

We went and suited up. I got in the truck. We went to the fire.

Severide: Casey we'll do perimeter search.
Pridger: Negative. 81 perimeter search.
Casey: Alright. Hermann, Dawson, and Otis your with me.
Pridger: What's your step gutter ball.

81 went in and we stood by.

Kendra: what's the point in us being here if he's going to make us stand here.
Capp: Good question.

Man down I'm trapped.

Severide: Kendra let's go.

We put our masks on and went in.

Severide: Otis call out.
Kendra: Look he drug the hose through here.

We followed the hose. He put the crow bar on the door.

Severide: Strike.

I hit it. We continued like this until we pulled the door off.

Severide: Otis.

We pulled him out. Engine came in and put the fire out. We got him out. We loaded up and went back. We got out and I noticed that Erin and Antonio were there.

Pridger: I think we all learned a lesson today about why we don't free lance. Isn't that right gutter ball?
Casey: Don't talk to my guy like that.
Pridger: What'd you say?
Casey: He made a great save that old man would be dead if not for him. I think he got a little to eager out there. Only cause he was trying to prove himself to you.
Pridger: I don't like your tone, lieutenant.
Casey: And I don't like yours. Otis and everyone else here at 51 have already proven themselves. You outta treat them with respect. Chief.
Pridger: I want you in my office in five minutes lieutenant. You to Severide.

Then he stormed off. Casey sighed and went inside Severide followed him. I went by Otis.

Kendra: Nice save man. You did good.
Otis: Thanks.
Kendra: Don't try to prove yourself to him, we all know that your a damn good firefighter.
Capp: And that's all that matters.
Otis: Thanks guys I really needed that.

I nodded. I went to the storage room and put my stuff away.

Erin: Who the hell is that guy? He sure seems like a dick.
Kendra: He is. He humiliated Otis in front of a crowd of people this morning. He even got him a shirt with gutter ball printed on it.
Antonio: you were right. He is a pest.

I nodded. I talked to them for a while. Then they had to leave. Antonio kissed me and they left. I went in and had lunch with everyone. The rest of the day went by fast and around 9 I called it a night and went to my cot. After laying there about ten minutes I fell asleep.
