Shift

I woke up to the feeling of Antonio's arms wrapped around my waist. I managed to get up and shower. I did my makeup and brushed my hair then put on my work clothes. I walked out to Antonio making breakfast. I smiled. He pulled me in close and held me. He kissed me then we ate together. I went and packed my bag as he got into the shower. Then suddenly the pain was back. I laid down on the floor. Two minutes later the door opened. Antonio came out whistling. He stopped. I felt his hands on my back. We sat there for about five minutes then I sat up and laid back against him.

Antonio: I'll take you to work.

I nodded knowing that I I objected I would sill lose. He helped me up and I grabbed my bag. He grabbed his gun and badge and then we went to the truck. He started to drive. On the way there I admired the ring, it's beauty, and uniqueness. We pulled up to the firehouse.

Antonio: Have a good shift.

I nodded.

Antonio: Call me if you need me.

I nodded again. He kissed me. I smiled as I got out. I walked up to the house. I went in and put my stuff in my locker then went out and sat in the kitchen by everyone. I saw Gabby and Brett. They smiled and I smiled back. I sat down at the circle table.

Casey: Role calls in two

We all nodded. One by one people started to make their way into the common room. I followed behind Capp and sat down next to Otis. Chief Boden walked in.

Boden: I heard that you were having problems with the relief so I came back.

Everyone cheered.

Boden: Severide has the day off so Kendra your relief lieutenant.

I nodded.

Boden: Everyone is accounted for?

I looked around. Tony. Capp.

Casey: Yep.
Kendra: Yeah.
Nickels: Yep.
Boden: Good. Dismissed.

We all got up and walked out. We went and sat at the squad table. I sat there for ten minutes then went and made sure that we had everything.

Most of the day was quiet. We went in and had lunch. Then we talked for ever. We didn't get a single call. We had dinner then gathered to watch a movie that Otis and Cruz has found. I started to feel cramps again so I called it a night and went to lay in my cot. Soon I fell asleep.
