"It's time for another break!" As the announcement came out of the speakers me and Charlie ran to the bleachers to sit down. I threw my shoes in the air and started massaging my feet.

"Oh God this is torture" I exclaimed, as he rested his head on my lap. I rolled my eyes as I stroked his hair,"You can sit this one out, I'll tell my dad to dance with me if you want to" I continued while he nodded. I came up to my dad and asked him to dance with me while he rested. After the ten minutes we were called to the court again.

"So I saw the Duncan girl approach you two earlier" he said, laughing while he spun me around. As I faced him again I hid my face between my hands, "You have a thing for musicians huh?" he continued.

"Oh my god dad" I said, trying to hide the fact I was turning red from embarrassment, "I'm not discussing my crushes with you"

"That's fair. Just wanted you to know your mom and I will accept anyone that makes you happy and-"

"I know" I said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, "I'm really thankful for it. Uhm, Dad" The next words came out of my mouth as if they were jumping out using my tongue as a trampoline, "How come you are doing so well? I'm really scared"

"You've always been good at hiding that" he said before taking a big breath to answer my question, "This thing is silent, everything that make me look bad last time was because we were trying to get rid of it, now we're just coexisting, until we don't anymore"

"I just don't know when to get ready to say goodbye"

"That's the thing honey, we can't. But, when can we ever really?" I just nodded my head and rested it on his chest as we kept slow dancing to a song that we knew too well.

After a few minutes he tapped my shoulder and signed me with his chin to look around at Charlie who was approaching us.

"I think I'm ready to come back now" he said, taking my hand as he nodded to my father.

"And I believe your mom and I will go back home now" my dad replied, nodding back, "Hope you have a great night kids."

"Hey, do you want to maybe get out of here?" I told him, signing with my eyes to the door "I can show you around if you like"

"But what about this whole thing?" he said, and made me turn around to Maeve and Owen who were still dancing around looking as fresh as they did in the first hour.

I just shrugged my shoulders and led him out the court, grabbing his hand, to which he happily complied.

We walked around my old school hand in hand and I felt like I was back in Grade 10.

"Hey come in here" I said, as I pulled him to one of the classrooms, "Let's see if it's still here"

"What are you talking about?" he replied, as he watched me move and old book shelve that was standing against a wall in the back of the class "AHA!" I said, pulling out an old piece of paper from behind it, "My last day of school I was almost caught writing this, and I got so desperate I threw it back here"

I opened the dirty piece of paper and giggled while I read it, "I remember thinking this was so good, this is embarrassing"

"I don't want thunderstorms unless it's for dancing underneath them,

I don't long for a rocky road or having to cross to many bridges"

"Hey is not that bad" he said, trying to contain his smile while her eyes scanned the lines written on it, "You definitely got better"

"Oh shut up" I said, laughing and taking the paper out of his hand, "I can't believe I'm showed you that"

"This certainly sounds like a love poem"

"It's a longing for love poem" I replied, "I told you I don't write about love"

"I know"

"I might start" I answered, a bit scared of my own words.

He smiled at me and I smiled back. We sat in silence looking into each other's eyes, our faces inching closer by the second.

"So I'm guessing you were not that kind of girl" he said, slowly getting on top of me, resting my back on the floor as he took his fingers to the side of my leg. As I lowered my body my dress went up and so did his hand.

I swear to god this man could just put a fingertip on my skin and make my whole body tense up.

"What kind of girl?" I replied, running my tongue through my teeth, going in to unbutton his shirt.

"The kind to mess around in a classroom, not fearing to get caught" he replied, putting his lips softly on my neck causing me to abruptly sit up.

"God Charlie you're burning up" I said, putting the back of my hand to his forehead, "Why didn't you say anything before?"

"I swear I feel fine"

"This feels like it's 100 degrees what do you mean? We need to get you back home and in bed!"

"I like that second part!"

"Oh my god just stand up" I said, helping him and pushing him to walk, as we got to the door I pulled him back in for a kiss, "Sorry, couldn't help it" I told him as we started walking again making our way to my car.

We drove back and quickly ran to our room to get him into bed.

"Ok, let me go grab you some tea and water. I'll come back as quickly as I can."

"Thank you my beautiful nurse" he said as he watched me walk out, I just rolled my eyes at him and sprinted to the kitchen. I was warming up the water when I remembered the projector my mom bought when she really got into movies last year.

I went to look for it and took it to the barn to set everything up, and then ran back to our room.

"Come out here but not before putting on three pairs of socks" He furrowed his eyebrows at me and sat down, pointing out the window.

"Did I hear you driving the truck just a few minutes ago?"

"Maybe" I said, wiggling my eyebrows, "Come quick"

When we walked into the barn Charlie let out a big gasp followed by and adorable childish giggle when he saw the truck parked in front of the projector, in the bed of it I put two inflatable mattresses and a whole lot of blankets and pillows. Showing in the big wall in front of it was the start screen of the goonies.

"Oh my god marry me!" he said, and his words kind of hit me like a truck, but I tried to hide it. He walked up to me and put me in the air "This is amazing"

"Yes I know, now go lay on them before you get worse. I'll start playing it." I handed him his tea and an aspirin, pressed play and then ran to him again.

I put my arms around him and make him rest his head on my chest. He tried to stay up and watch the movie, mumbling fun facts about it while dozing off, his eyelids getting heavier by the second.

"Go on, you can sleep" I said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, starting to run my fingers through his hair.

"Mmm nono I want to watch" he replied, throwing his arm around my waist and cuddling closer to me, closing his eyes.

I threw another blanket on top of him. When I did he let out a little soft buzzing sound, almost like a purr, and I found myself fighting the urge to disrupt his sleep to grab his face and kiss it all over.

"I'm so scared Charlie" I whispered to him yet knowing he wouldn't hear me "I'm so scared to depend on you"
