"I'm feeling better" he said, grabbing my hand and leading me to the room "Thank you for taking great care of me"

I smiled at him and walked a little faster so that I could give him a kiss on his cheek. It was really hard to remember how conflicted I was when I had him near me. We walked into the room, and he turned the shower on.

"I feel like you might need this to wake you up" he said. A few minutes later he was inside with me.

I had my legs around his waist while he pinned me up against my bathroom wall. His lips travelled around my my body, kissing every corner, his breath causing goosebumps as he hovered his mouth over it moving on to the next spot. I felt the air escaping my chest, as I pulled him in as much as I could, but even when we were so close there was no space between us, I needed him to be closer.

I let out a little moan, but he shut me up putting his hand on my mouth, throwing me in bed, teasing me with his fingers.

We looked into each other's eyes and I suddenly felt a tonne of bricks falling on my chest.

"Charlie stop, I'm sorry" he was on top of me, my legs around his waist. He immediately rolled around and laid next to me.

"You don't have anything to be sorry about" he said, turning to face me, "Is everything ok?"

"Yeah yeah I'm totally fine, just feeling kinda weird that's all"

"Do you want to talk about it?" He put his hand on my cheek, using his thumb to lightly stroke it and I tried my hardest to ignore that it burned.

<<Yes>> was the first thought that popped in my head, but my mouth decided not to cooperate "No really it's ok, it's just my dad and everything, kinda having a weird day"

"Ok" he said, nodding lightly "Just tell me if you need anything"

"Of course" I said, giving a quick kiss on the lips that felt freezing cold comparing to the temperature we were experiencing just a few seconds ago.

He got out of bed and threw some clothes on as I grabbed my phone to let Kenny know I was working that day.

"Hey, I just have to go through some scenes and send some notes to Kenny, do you mind wandering around?"

"No, not at all" he said, smiling at me "Owen and I really want to ride today, we'll go out with your dad"

That panic again. I tried my hardest not to show it and gave him a smile back as he walked out the room.

I quickly pulled my laptop out of my bag and got to work. Working was really such a beautiful distraction. Once I got to it everything kinda disappeared. Hours went by and Maeve came to my room to look for me.

"The boys went out, and I thought maybe I could come bother you" she said, throwing herself in bed next to me "What are you working on?"

"Nothing just some notes on one of the scenes" I said, showing her the screen of my laptop, that had its frame filled with post it's with ideas for the characters.

"Luke kicks down to poof out" she said, reading one of them

"Have you noticed he kicks around a lot, even when he walks?"

"No I haven't" she said, laughing with her shoulders and shaking her head while she raised her eyebrows "But I'm sure I don't notice half the things you do"

"God this is so frustrating" I said, throwing my back in the bed, putting my head next to hers.

"What, love? It is, always" she said and made me roll my eyes.

"Not for you it kinda isn't" I replied.

"I know" she continued, shimming her shoulders and smiling, "But you'll know what to do. I trust it" she said, giving me a quick kiss on the forehead.

"You think so?" I asked, "Because it's getting harder and harder to keep my distance" I motioned my hand to show her a very untidy room, and an especially messy bed.

"Yes I guessed from the trail of water you left from the shower to here" I just looked at her and bit my lip laughing.

"Yes its hard" I simply sentenced and we both laughed. I felt like a teenage girl.

"That's what you decided to do then? Keep your distance?" she asked, and I found myself startled.

"I don't know, maybe?" She just nodded her head and I waited for an answer that never came.

"Donna's here" she announced right after we went silent.

"Oh god why now" I replied, "I really wanted to avoid introducing her to the boys"

"I think she is leaving, but she'll come back tonight."

"Well at least they will be playing, and maybe with everyone being here they won't even get to know her"

"Yeah right keep telling that to yourself" she said, and then dropped a little tiny bomb "Have you heard about the project, Paris and the whole shebang yet?"

"Oh wow, I almost forgot that was a thing" I said, scratching my head in disbelief at my self, "I haven't, should I be worried?"

"I don't know if you should" she said, "I don't really know how all of that works, maybe ask-?"

"Matt?!"

"No, Kenny" she replied, shaking her head, "He should know what's the timing for these things I guess"

"Yeah you're right. I'm sure everything's ok tho, it was just like two weeks ago" I said, trying to convince myself of it.

The day went by fairly quickly. We spent most of it in the house, cooking or playing with the kids, and luckily I had seen very little of Charlie. On the other hand, not so good for my nerves, was the fact that I didn't see him a lot that day was because he was out hanging with my dad.

When they came back he ran to me and grabbed me from behind, giving me a kiss on the cheek. My mom and I locked eyes, and she furrowed my eyebrows at my not so happy expression.

She nodded her head signing me to go talk to her in the kitchen.

"Is everything ok Erato?" she said, putting her hand to her hip.

"Yeah mom why?" I said, but I was not prepared to lie to her.

"It's unbelievable. You see us getting closer to someone, and you suddenly start to push them away. It's like you want us out of your life."

"Mom? What are you even saying?" My jaw was not even on the floor, it went down three of the earth's layers "This has nothing to do with you guys"

"Yeah I'm sure not. You know your aunt said something like this, but your dad and I tried to defend you."

"Where is this coming from?"

"You brought Matt here one year, and everything goes excellent, we take him in as a part of the family, next thing we know, you stop coming or when you did come you would barely speak to us. It was hard enough for us when you left at 17, and then you just kept leaving us again but in different ways"

"Mom that has nothing to do with us, it's just that" I felt myself get choked up trying to let her know how much she missed from the story.

"Just what?" she said, and walked away when she got tired of me not answering her question.
