Charlie went to the side to talk to Lilly that seemed pretty pissed at what just happened.
"Do you think I should say something?" I asked Maeve, eyeing the fighting couple.
"Are you crazy? Don't stir the pot. You'll just humiliate her."
"You are right, I just feel so guilty, I was not thinking was it really that bad?" I replied
"I know you weren't trying anything but yes that was way too intense. You are a bad actress and that fire can't be faked" She said, teasing me.
"I know I wasn't" I replied, and felt sad for a second "Anyways, it doesn't help my case. Homewrecker is not a thing I want to add to my list of personality traits. And what if Charlie just pulls away from me even more"
"I know" Maeve replied, "Just let it be. If you are serious about being cool with him he'll know. And look at them, it looks like Charlie managed to calm her down." I looked over and I saw Charlie kissing her forehead. I let out a melancholic smile.
"I still feel like she is not who she pretends she is" Maeve said, squinting her eyes at them.
"How am I the writer when you are living in a whole ass police novel?" I said, and left her with her suspicions.
I went back to behind the monitors and regrouped. I texted Tori, and she rushed to us to be the stand in.
"You are a life savior" I said when I saw her come in.
"I really truly hoped you guys were leaving me alone for at least this week" She said, as she put the sandwich she was munching on on the table. We reviewed the scene one more time and wrapped it up. The next thing I had to do was work with Sacha again to retouch the little details from his character, so we went and sat down on the studio's couch. The studio doors were closed, but not fully as the door stopper was apparently broken.
I was talking to Sacha when I heard two familiar voices from the other side of the door.
"Man you gotta admit that was crazy" I heard Owen say "It was only like a minute but it was the most intense I've seen you rehearse anything in your entire life"
"I'm an actor, I act, that's literally my job, what are you talking about?" Charlie replied, crossing his arms and frowning.
"I'm just saying that was something else" Owen continued, "Something worth exploring"
"I'm really trying to move on here Owen and you are not helping" Charlie said, now twinkling.
"Just saying, you know I'll support whatever you do" Owen responded "But I have to point out that we did the scene 100 times before that..."
"I know you are right I just don't want you to be" Charlie said and I felt a smile forming on my face, but it quickly faded when he continued talking "I really do love Lilly you know"
"Love?" Owen asked, shocked. I did the same thing in my head.
"Yeah I mean I've known her since forever, we are just rekindling things, and she is good for me" He said.
I turned to Sacha that was well aware of the situation and signed me to leave the room with his head. I went out and walked by them as I left the room.
"Eri!" Owen said, grabbing the back of his head with his left hand and pointing at me with his right, nervously. I had a split second to decide what face I would make when I turned to them.
"Hey!!" I said as I turned around, smiling. Pretending I didn't hear a thing. A bad actress she said, yeah right "Charlie! I'm so glad you are back. I didn't give you a proper hug, come here buddy, I mean, I kinda did back there, but not really" I said, as I hugged him, laughing awkwardly.
