[Eris POV]

We turned around to see Matthew standing there, wearing sunglasses indoors like the prick he was. He ran his fingers through his hair and opened his arms wide pushing me aside. Maeve sighed and hugged him. I made a mocking face at her, sticking my tongue out. She let out a giggle, and he abruptly let go off her.

"What's so funny Maevs?" She took his sunglasses off his face and put them on hers.

"Literally everything about you, creep" she replied, mimicking the way he put his hands through his locks.

It's not that Maeve didn't like Matthew. Even though he was a few years older, they grew up together, he was like a big brother to her, and they always had a playful relationship. When we were dating we hung out together all the time, she was really happy she made us find each other, and to her, we were so happy for the longest time. We wouldn't make it known when we fought and I wouldn't dare mention the things Matt said to me during those fights because I wanted to protect their relationship, so when It came to an end, when I couldn't take it anymore, Maeve chose a side and that side was mine. So in the process she lost one of her closest friends.

Treating him poorly around her, as much as he deserved it, was hard for me.

"Hey" he said, bending his knees to be on my level, his face inches away from mine "I guess we are obliged to be cordial" he continued, extending his hand for me to shake, "We got the song you and that kid wrote in the morning, it's good". I was left confused by the lack of sarcasm in the tone of his voice.

"I'm glad you finally realized I'm actually talented" I said, firmly shaking his hand "Only took you 3 years"

"Come on, you know I've always known that. Admitting it? Yes, that took me 3 years." he replied, extending his legs and turning to watch Kenny direct the girls.

Everything about this situation made me feel conflicted. Great. At least it's not a foreign feeling. Seemed like a natural state at this point.

Why was he being like this all of a sudden, is he trying to... - my thoughts were interrupted by Maeve tapping on my shoulder and pointing across the room at Charlie that entered the auditorium a few minutes ago. His arms were crossed across his chest, his jaw clenched. I raise my eyebrows at him and shook my head, my face was like a giant question mark. He just smiled lightly and shrugged his shoulders turning around to Owen.

Kenny called cut and wrapped it up for the day. Sav and the girls went back to their trailers to get unready so Maeve and I decided to hang around and wait for them so we could all head back to the apartment together.

We approached Owen, Jer and Charlie that were heading towards the same direction as us.

"Heeey handsome" Maeve greeted Owen. He turned to her trying to hide his smile and replied "Hey gorgeous".  As he said it he grabbed her hand and twirled her around. I looked at the both of them in awe.

"It can't be THAT easy" Charlie said, looking at them, his jaw on the floor.

"It is when you are not an overthinker" she replied to him, but her eyes switched between the two of us. I flicked her in between her eyebrows and clicked my tongue.

"You know I hate when you do that"

"Well you kinda deserved it" Charlie said "I'm Charlie by the way"

"Oh I know exactly who you are"

Charlie proceeded to flick her the same way I did. He then clicked his tongue too and included a little head motion while crossing his arms. He looked at me, pleased with himself.
