When I saw her kissing him back I could feel my whole body lose strength as I collapsed into the couch. "There's no way this will get any easier" I said, as I try to calm myself down before I could even turn to Kenny. I knew I was trying to be supportive but did he have to just strut around with her like that.
We talked about the scene and how the other characters should react to Luke as he did that and went on to film the actual scene.
"That was perfect!" Kenny said as he called cut. And it really was. Everyone gave their best.
I went up to Jeremy and high-fived him, "That eyebrow lift was everything" I told him as he high-fived me back.
"I actually think is stuck there" he said, raising it again, and then walked to Carolynn that wanted to say goodbye before she went home. Owen ran up to Maeve, and she jumped into her arms planting a kiss on him. Mads ran to me and made me copy all of them.
"Ahhh don't be bitter Eri" Owen said, running up to us and picking me up, "You'll meet prince charming eventually" I just rolled my eyes at him as he put me down.
"Thank you" I whispered to him, and he gave me a complicit smile.
"No worries" he whispered back, "I love Charlie, but I'm team Eri" he continued, and then ran back to Maeve that looked as proud as ever at him.
I looked at them and thought of how lucky I was that I now had not only one but two Maeves in my life.
"That's what I want. That type of connection with someone" I told Mads, still looking at them.
"You have that, you are just too stubborn to see it" she replied, and looked at Charlie that waved at us while standing next to Lilly that looked bored out of her mind while she played with his hair. She had nothing to say about anything that just happened and it frustrated the hell out of me. I just couldn't crack the two of them. One minute they were all lovey-dovey and the next looked like two strangers.
I could tell Mads was thinking the exact same thing as me, and she immediately confirmed it,
"I honestly can't tell you what they even see in each other" she said, "She is just so unbothered by all of this" she said, pointing at the instruments and the set.
"I know but I don't want to say anything about it, I'll just sound bitter and jealous" Mads just nodded in agreement and sighed "I mean, I just don't trust it, I don't trust her" she continued.
I found it weird that Maddie would say that as I knew she wasn't biased by my feelings or our friendship. When it came to Charlie and me she tried to be very objective.
I tried to brush it off as there was nothing we could do about it anyway and went up to Kenny to talk about the cassette project. We were interrupted by Matthew that stood in the studio's door.
"Eri" he called, signing me with his head to approach him. Everyone turned to us in a mixture of confusion and surprise. I signed them all not to worry by shrugging my shoulders and shaking my head lightly while smirking a little. I could see Charlie take his hand up to his mouth taking it down to his chin in frustration. He turned around as I made my way to Matt, "It's only a week more, and he is gone forever" I thought.
"Did you have time to read my text?" Matthew asked, in a very serious tone "You know I hate to be kept waiting. Look, I'm not here to try anything I just want to talk to you whenever you can, is about that script you sent in"
"How do you know about that?" I asked, startled.
"I'm friends with a lot of producers do you think they wouldn't tell me if they got a script from you? Anyway, I have someone that's interested, and they want to meet you too"
