Skylar, Chase, and I came from downstairs and saw Oliver and Kaz were playing some pool noodles. 

"what are you guys doing?" I asked

"Nothing!" they yelled in unison

I walked to them and put my hand on Kaz's shoulder.

oh my god.

he wanted to get more powers from the Arcturian 

"no! Oliver, Kaz you can't" I said

"screw you and your lie telling powers" Oliver said

"What's going on?" Chase asked

"they built this because we wanted to touch the Arcturian without getting zapped."

" Wait. You still have it?" Skylar got angry

"Get rid of it like I told you to yesterday." Chase added

"Fine. Consider it gone. " Oliver walked to a cabinet and opened it "Actually, it is gone."

"What do you mean it's gone?" Kaz asked

" Someone must've taken it. I bet it was AJ. He wanted the Arcturian as soon as he saw it." Oliver said to us

"hey, don't assume that! he's a good kid, I don't think he'd steal"

"Hey, guys, did you see me on the news last night? " AJ walked in

" We know what you did, AJ. Give us back the space rock." Chase said angrily to AJ

"What are you talking about?"

"It's missing, and everyone saw how badly you wanted it."

" No, I didn't take it. I swear." I took off my shoe and sock and pushed my foot to the floor.

"he's not lying, Chase."

"I can't believe you two are lying to me." AJ looked down  "If you're not gonna admit it AJ, then we're not gonna be friends anymore."

"What?" I saw tears in AJ's eyes

"You heard me. Get out." Chase pointed out. I stood closer to Chase

"you know, it's one thing to make assumptions but it's another thing to call me and AJ a liar." I said to him. Chase looked at me

"Liz-" 

"No! screw you, Chase. I thought you were different" I walked out with AJ

"let's go get some ice cream" I smiled. 

AJ nodded

Once AJ and I were in the car, I tried cheering him up.

"want to choose a song or two?" I asked him. he gasped

"you never let anyone choose music" I laughed

"that's why I said A song or two" we laughed

After he played a couple of songs, we made it to the ice cream place near a Goodwill.

he got two scoops of Superman ice cream and I got a scoop of double chocolate and mint chocolate chip.

we sat outside on the park bench.

"so you and Chase?" AJ asked

"Not until he apologizes to you. also, I'm not sure. for some reason, I don't really trust him" I responded. He put his hand on my shoulder

"you'll make him less of an asswipe" I laughed "before you say that me cussing is bad just know that-"

"cussing leads to higher intelligence"

" I was gonna say its funny 11-year-old cusses"

"haha" I looked at the Goodwill "hey want to go shopping? I need to get some cups anyway" AJ smiled and nodded. "okay finish your ice cream, kid"

4 pm

 I dropped AJ at his family's apartment and I walked to the elevator.

I went in and started to close the doors.

"no no! hold it open please!" I pressed the open button. it was a 6 foot two mixed kid and he looked about my age. and he was fine as fuck "thank you" he breathed heavily.

"hi, Liz Greene" I said holding out my hand

"oh, I know you! I'm Big D's stepson, Leo"

"oh, hi!"
