Jericho was groggy and disoriented as he woke up from a coma-like slumber. He went to rub his eyes and froze, realizing he coulnd't move. His immobility woke him right up, and he frantically took in his surroundings, the pit in his stomach growing with each detail of the room around him.

First of all, he was tied to mother-effing chair, and boy was he tied good. The king must think he was a bigger threat than he let on to have tied him this tight. He didn't even bother struggling against the ropes, he needed to conserve his energy if he wanted to survive. There were no windows, and the only door was made of solid silver, which is one thing Hollywood had gotten right, silver was a no go for wolves. In addition to it being silver, it also had three manual locks and two electronic ones. He was pretty well caged.

He groaned as he thought of the events that had led him here. They had been fleeing from their camp when Talon had caught sight of Houston. Talon had ran after him along with some of the pack, deciding he had better make sure that Houston didn't say anything to the king about his gift. While he was gone, a couple of wolves had come out of the tree and surprised Jerico. They had knocked him out before he could even get his hands up. He guessed they hey dragged him here, and tied him up while he was still asleep.

Damn, now would be a really good time to have Talon's power. It would be nice to just be able to burn the ropes of, but that didn't really help with the silver door anyways. He closed his eyes musing and trying to think of a plan.

Suddenly the door burst open, and someone walked in and shut it quietly, effectively shutting Jericho in with them. He didn't even have to look at him to see that it was the king, probably with a guard or two. He oped his eyes warily, and sure enough he had been right, but he had three guards with him, a very unusual occurrence.

"Wow, you must find me a pretty big threat. I mean three guards? Just for little old me?" Jericho smirked at the king as he addressed him.

"Good to see you as well Jericho, and no I don't think you are a threat, but the people of the court believe I have a different prisoner. One that is much stronger and more able to fight than you, and these men are just to keep up appearances." Man, Jericho would like nothing more than to wipe that smug grin off of the bastard's face.

"Why didn't you just kill me? I ain't got nothing to say to you." Jericho let just a little animosity seep through into his tone, but he assumed it wouldn't intimidate the king, and he was right.

"Yes well I can be persuasive, but I'm not here to chat, just here to say hello and leave one of my guard's with you, just to ensure you don't escape." He smirked and walked out the door, completely ignoring Jericho's question. Two of the guards remained, and immediately took up stances on either side of the door. Dumb brutes, he thought to himself.

Jericho? Can you hear me baby? Jericho was momentarily shocked at Talon's voice in his head, but quickly hid it so as not to alert the guard's that something was up.

Talon? I don't understand? How can I hear you? He thought, trying his best to project it to Talon.

Apparently it is another bonus of our powers. Do you know where you are? I am so sorry they took you, I never should have left you.

Don't worry about it Talon, it most certainly is not your fault. I think I'm at the court, but there is no way you can rescue me her Tal. You'll get yourself killed, powers or no powers. Did you catch Houston? Jericho needed to know at least one thing had gone right.

Don't worry Houston is no longer a problem. I am at the court now, and I have reinforcements don't worry. I figured you were here, but i just had to make sure. Do you know where in the court you are? Jericho sighed, knowing there was no use in arguing this point with his mate, if he was in Talon's shoes he would do the same thing.

I'm in a room with a silver door, I'll try to get out of here and meet you, but if I can't just look for someplace that looks like an interrogation room.

Will do babe, let me know. And be careful. I love you. Jericho closed his eyes as he literally felt how much Talon loved him running through his mind.

Don't make a move until I say, I don't want you risking your life if you don't have to. Oh, and by the way, I love you more. Jericho shut off the psychic link as best he could after that, so he could focus on getting out.

"I don't suppose you two have keys to that door now do you?" Jericho asked.

"Of course we do, but there ain't no way we are letting you out." One of the guards practically sneered at Jericho. Gah, these dudes were stupid.

"Trust me, I wasn't planning on you helping me. Well, I suppose you will in a way, just not the way you're thinking." Jericho smirked at the guard devilishly.

The man just rolled his eyes, not bothering to respond. Oh the joys of being small, everybody underestimated him, which meant him always had the element of surprise. He gathered up his power and began to freeze the ropes that were holding him. Slowing the ice crept over them, freezing the ropes solid, and the with one little thought, Jericho broke the ice, freeing himself.

That got the guards attention, they started advancing toward him, but they didn't get far. They both dropped to their knees, choking out water. Jericho didn't kill them, just made them pass out. He the dug through their pockets until he found the keys. He looked at the door.

He thought for a minute, assuming there was probably a whole lot of ground out there between him and freedom. He thought about something he had read once about the werewolves of the past who had powers. He looked at the guards, who were already starting to stir, and decided it was worth a shot. He bolted over the door and froze the electronic locks until they were completely busted. Then he unlocked the manual locks.

Talon, he thought as the door burst open. He looked around, there were guards advancing toward him from both sides of a narrow hallway.

Here baby, how did it go? Jericho didn't answer, just focused on Talon's voice really hard, and whoosh. Guess he was right. Looked liked he could teleport.
