I was by the ocean in what seemed to be a nature reserve. I had joined a small group to go whale watching, but somehow I got separated on the water and ended up floating on a raft. Suddenly a rush of water came towards me and there in front of me was a blue whale! Or at least the top of one swam right by my raft almost tipping me over. When I rejoined the group, the ranger told me that was Abel, their famous blue whale. I was ecstatic to have met him.
Later, we explored a museum right by the water where teeming aquariums decorated each room. One room that was most memorable was a large open exhibit where a humpback whale swam circles along the walls. It was as if a suspended life-size model had come to life and the room was its aquarium. I gazed in awe as it soared right over my head and dove up and around the room.
