It was early in the morning, while it was still dark. I dreamt I couldn't sleep, so I got out of bed and decided to "swim" in my mermaid tail. I skimmed the floor of my house, riding the air as if it was water. I swam back and forth between the front room and living room, as if I was actually swimming under the water. At one point I started singing like a siren, but apparently it was quiet enough that no one woke up. Although at this part, there seemed to be water halfway filled to the ceiling. So when I sang, I would take a breath, let out some notes above and under water, and so on.
There was also a moment where our late dog Champ came out to play with me, and we played tag as I was still swimming in my tail. I hurried to the living room to hide behind a couch where he found me, so I dove over the top of the couch and swam out of the room as he chased me. I then began to play with and pet him in the front room, still in my mermaid tail.
Later, I was swimming along the road towards the Lampeter house. I skimmed over the grassy edge of the road as cars and trucks drove by, hoping they wouldn't cause a scene after seeing a mermaid outside. I came upon the house's road, turning elegantly onto the street and gliding over the road. There were kids playing on it ahead, and I floated past them rather swiftly and into the house.
