"Whaaaat?" Everyone yelled in response to Daiko's statement.
"Are you sure?"Hearthfell asks, and Daiko just nods.
"Bella...." Mary says, covering her mouth to suppress a sob.
George puts a hand on her shoulder. "We've got to find her!"
"How do ya think were gonna do that, monkey brains?" asked Hearthfell with a scowl.
Since Hearthfell and George were too busy fighting and Mary was crying, only Alex noticed that Daiko was trying to slowly sneak away.
Unfortunately, she wasn't quick enough against Alex, a basic living shadow. Before she could go too far, she felt Alex's grip on the collar of her shirt.
"And where do you think you're going?" Asked Alex, which jerked everyone's attention to them.
She turned her head around to face him."Err...Getting away from here?"
Alex sighed. He went on one knee and put his hands on her shoulder, as if taking to a child. "Daiko, you knew that Bella was kidnapped, so you might be the only one who knows where she is, excluding herself and her kidnapper. Please, help us out. Face your fears."
"Who says I'm running away? I'm not afraid. I'm going after her by myself."
"You are afraid! Daiko, you're afraid of whatever is going to happen in the future. Please Daiko, were a team; let's get her back together."
Daiko had a little bit of a crush on Alex, so that he would like her, she just said, "Okay, I'll do it."
She turned around and pulled out her book, using it like a map. "Follow me!" She said and with a skip and a hop, she ran towards some unknown destination.
------30 min later----------
Daiko came to an old building with everyone following closely behind. She laid herself against a wall.
"It's got to be here somewhere she mumbled as she patted the wall.
Then, she stopped, and pressed hard on the wall. A small bit of it gave away like a door to reveal a narrow passageway.
"Voila! After you," Daiko gestured.
With Daiko and Alex in the front and George and Hearthfell in the back, they slowly made their way down the passage.
Then suddenly, they came to a vast room. And in the middle, tied up and gagged, was Bella.
"Bella!" Daiko yelled, and George ran tio untied her. Mary noticed that Bella's sword was missing.
"This was...too easy," Bella mumbled.
"Heh? What do ya mean?" asked George.
Daiko nods. "I agree with Bella. We are up against a powerful mastermind. There should be monsters, or at least traps."
"Hold it. Why would someone kidnap you?" Asked Hearthfell.
"Well, if it were any other situation, it would be because I'm a princess-"
"WHAAAAT??" Everyone gasped except Daiko, who already knew that.
"-But I know who it is. He most likely did it because I'd something I did."
"Who is it?" Asked Alex.
Bella sighed. "My childhood friend, Jarred Riniv."
