The Caravan of Hope

Chapter 36: Te quiero

For those of you who don't know, te quiero means "I love you" in Spanish.

The picture above is a a picture I drew of Daiko and Alex. It's not that good (I should've pressed harder on the paper. But the book on the bottom says, "The Caravan of Hope by Lu Alec". Sorry it's sideways.

This is a love chapter.

Daiko was sulking in the corner of the tent.

It was later that day. The king decided to not start the rest of the tournament until the next day.

Jarred pointed out that this was a good thing for the Caravan of Hope since Alex wasn't here, such made Daiko even more depressed.

She started poking the corner, saying, " No me lo puedo creer. I spent the last four years with two goals: trying to save the Caravan and trying to get Alex to like me. I got the cute part down, but I guess he, like all men, is interested in girls with big breasts!"

Jarred coughed. "That has nothing to do with it."

Daiko stared at him. "What? Are you saying that Alex is after her not because of her big breasts?"

"No." Hearthfell said. "We're saying that big boobs don't have anything to do with se-"

He was interrupted by a stern looking Daiko. "Watch your tongue!" She pouted and turned away from them. "You know what? I'm not listening to you two, because YOU BOTH ARE IN LOVE WITH GIRLS WITH FREAKING BIG BREASTS!"

Jarred and Hearthfell turned to Bella and Mary. They did indeed have big breasts.  Mary hugged hers and Bella said, "Feeling the love, Daiko."

Daiko went up to George and hugged him, crying hysterically in his arms. "Wah George! You're the only guy in this Caravan who isn't in love yet, so I don't know is you're going to be in love with girls with big breasts. But I'll hang on to you for now!"

George guessed that this wasn't a good time to tell her that he preferred girls with big breasts, so he said something else. "Err, Daiko. Why not just make your boobs bigger with magic?"

She sighed. "George, let's say that since I owed you a favor, I made Mary hate Hearthfell."

"What?!" Hearthfell cried out.

George grinned. "That would be cool." Then his grin was wiped off. "But no thanks. I'd feel guilty, since Sis choose this. Plus, I'd know it won't be real."

Daiko nodded. "Exactly. I'd feel guilty anytime Alex is with me because I'd know it's not true."

She backed away from George and started to cry. "All these years, I made myself act cute so much that it became a part of me, and I also hide away my true self, hoping that Alex would never find out and be disgusted. I was glad when he sort of met it and still found me cute, but..."

She started pounding the tent wall. "Alex is a baka! A baka, baka, baka!"

"I know the word baka isn't Spanish. What does it mean?" asked Alex.

"It means idiot in Japanese Alex!" Daiko realized what she just said.

She turned around, squealing. "Alex!" She jumped into his arms and hugged him. But then she started pounding his back with incredible strength. "Alex Reginlus, YOU'RE A BAKA!"

Alex was surprised by this mix of emotions, as she also began to cry. "Don't ever leave me again like that, baka."

George and Hearthfell looked at Alex and said, "So what did you do together with Ignelsa and Metatron."

"Just talked." But Alex wouldn't meet their eyes.

They were surprised. "Just that?"

"Yep."

Hearthfell and George were about to cough.

"Wait, can I join you this time?" Jarred asked.

The two nodded, and the three of them coughed *virgin*.

Bella smiled, hoping that they could make up. "C'mon Jarred. There is a star outside that I want your intake on."

Jarred was confused. "But stars don't appear until night-" He was elbowed in the stomach by Bella. "Why yes. I would love to see this star with you."

Bella led him out of the tent, motioning for Mary to do the same with George and Hearthfell.

Mary nodded, grabbing one ear from each boy. "You two! I have to talk with you about your rivalry over me!"

As they were being led out, they yelled, "Ow! Why us?!"

Alex and Daiko were soon left alone.

Daiko was afraid to ask, but she did it anyway. "Alex? What were you doing with Ignelsa and Metatron?"

Alex coughed, blushing. He really didn't want to tell her, but he guessed he had to.

Still hugging her, he leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Te quiero."

Daiko's eyes widened as she comprehended what Alex said. After that, she kept stuttering.

"Y-you mean i-it? Y-you l-l-love me?" She squealed when Alex nodded. They both blushed really hard. "I'm surprised you never figured it out aSset all these years Daiko. Especially when you can read minds."

She was still confused. "But what were you doing with Ignelsa and Metatron?"

Alex blushed. "She was teaching me how to talk in Spanish so that I can sweet talk with you in Spanish, a language that you like."

Daiko blushed. "That's so sweet!"

They stood in silence for a while, then Alex asked, "So what did you think I was doing?"

Daiko blushed harder. "Sit down and I'll tell you."

He did. "I'm going to tell you how babies are made."

Alex sighed. "Finally! Now they can't call me virgin anymore."

And she told him. She also admired the bright cherry red color his face had when she was telling him.

"Oh." He said, still blushing. "So that's what you all thought I was doing with Ignelsa?"

She nodded, then smiled. "But now I have you and will never let you go."

Since she was sitting on his lap, she leaned against his chest and cooed a little, saying, "Alex likes me. Alex loves me. And I love him back. Yo nunca le."

Alex smiled and rocked back and forth a little with her smiling. She looked up at him and said, "I've always wanted to do this," as she kissed him.

They both enjoyed the kiss, and wanted to do it for a long time. But they had to come up for air after a little while, and they did it smiling.

That's when Jarred came in, looking scared. "You need to come outside now."

They hurried outside.

Hello Alexander. My, you look flustered.

Alex's hands clenched into fists as he looked at the shadow form of Zaecondis.

Next chapter, the thing that Daiko was scared of happening in chapter 31 will happen.
