"..And that's what happened. Now Ur's dead." Hearthfell just finished telling what happened. The kids stared back at him with blank faces.

Tiger and Silver growled at him, but they didn't bother attacking.

One kid raised his hand. "Hearthfell, you're the strongest out of all of us soldiers. Why submit to emotions?"

"Eh, is that true?" Jarred was surprised to hear that.

Hearthfell stared at him. "Isn't it obvious?"

George started to choke.

"It's true," Silver said, shrugging. "We only hit him because of Ur, but now we don't want to because we know better than to go up against the strongest soldier here."

Hearthfell nodded. He knelt in front of the kid. "Hey, Grass. I will answer your question with something I've never told people before:

"When I first went to Wald, I met Daiko and Alex and found them crazy for having emotions.

"But I found it interesting that even though they have emotions, they both were super strong. That's why I followed them.

"And I learned from them that the key to being a great soldier is to have these emotions, because these emotions can help you at times.

"Look at me. I had emotions of anger because Ur hurt my friend, and I was able to win."

Mary blushed because she was happy that Hearthfell called her a friend.

Grass nodded. "Maybe I should have emotions too. I felt happy the first time I heard the flute; I want to play it in order to feel happiness."

Another kid raised his hand. "I want to read tons and tons of books!"

Other kids started shouting their responses.

Silver nodded. "Hearthfell, Tiger and I will take them. I want them to fulfill their dreams."

Hearthfell patted the man's shoulder. "Thanks, Silver."

Tiger tugged at Silver, who looked at him and said, "What do ya want?"

Tiger started moving his hand as if he were patting something. Silver face palmed himself and said, "Yes, I'll get you a kitten."

Tiger was happy after that.

---------------Later---------

Hearthfell was squatting by Ur's grave.

"Good bye, Ur," he said.

He was about to leave when he heard someone say, Did you think you could get rid of me?

Hearthfell quickly turned around, but he saw no one.

Yet he could've sworn it was Ur.
