Chapter 34: I didn't lie

They all stood in silence as Daiko summed up the end.

"... So that's basically it. Pathetic right? I... couldn't..." She started to cry hard, drying het tears with the palms of her hands, which she found out wasn't working. "All of you guys are so strong! And you guys also learn to change. But I'm the only one who hasn't! I still run Away from trouble instead of facing it! SOY PATÉTICO. I'M PATHETIC!"

The Caravan just stood there watching as Daiko cried even harder and fell into a chair. That was when Alex knelt down and put his hands on her shoulders. "Daiko, I confided you with my secret. How come you never shared me yours?"

She was still crying. "Because I thought you'd find me crazy."

He hugged her. "Daiko, I'm always there for you."

Bella smiled, glad that their love interests in each other weren't given up. "Me too."

She elbowed Jarred. "So am I."

Then, they all joined in to hug her.

When they pulled back, Hearthfell says, "So you Alex knew that Daiko was okay back then. And you Daiko like with Alex?"

Alex nodded. But he blushed at the thought of Daiko liking him.

Daiko blushed too. "It was a long time ago! Besides, it was a long time ago." I didn't lie. I fell in love with him more when I found out he loves cute girls!

"So, what are we going to do about Evento?" Mary was wondering.

They had forgotten all about that.

They stared at the ground. Daiko broke the silence by saying, "It's all right. I would probably either lose my magic, cease to exist, cause Ignelsa to die because I broke my promise of not going back to Wald but... I'll be fine! Don't worry about me."

But they were worried. They were losing Daiko and there was nothing they could do about it.

All of them were worried except for Alex.

A few hours later, they approached Evento with the others caravans that passed the first round.

He was standing on the ground. Daiko went closer, then gave Alex a kiss in the cheek. "Goodbye Alex. We sure had fun, didn't we?"

She went next to Evento. They turned to leave on Ignelsa.

That's when Alex said. "I never said that she was going back to Aqua."

The two looked back, surprised. "Does that mean that you lied?" Evento asked.

"I didn't lie. In fact, I didn't even promise that Daiko was going with you. We're taking her back and driving you guys out of the world forever."

He raised his hand and pointed it toward Evento. "Wald, attack!"
