"Feliz cumpleaños a ti! Feliz cumpleaños a ti! Feliz cumpleaños Caravan of Hope. Feliz cumpleaños a ti!"
It was two weeks later, and Daiko was skipping around singing in her language, for it was the four year anniversary of the Caravan. Hearthfell also had his shirt on.
"Yeah, party!" George started the whole cake that Bella made.
"Woah, slow down George!" Mary started laughing.
Jarred looked at her. "Are you okay? You're the only one who hasn't eaten cake yet."
Mary paused. "There's something that had been bothering me. I don't remember where, but I recognize the name "Fistian"." She turned to George. "Do you remember?"
"Nope, not a clue." He reached for another slice of cake.
"Hmmm...Maybe it'll come to me soon." She resumed thinking.
George grabbed Hearthfell's ear hard. "Ouch! What da ya-" He was cut off by George whispering in his ear.
"I remember somethin'. Thank you for saving Mary." He shrugged. "I guess I won't mind if ya hang out with her."
Hearthfell looked at George, shocked to hear something like that from him. Then he said, "You do know that if ya eat any more cake, you would be a pig, right?"
George slouched. "This party is too fun to be arguing with you."
Mary froze, then left the room.
Hearthfell ran after her, but George noticed him this time.
Hearthfell found her sitting outside. "Is it the whole phobia of birthday thing?"
She nodded. He sat down next to her.
"Err... Hearthfell? A couple of weeks ago, why did you kiss me?" Mary thought that it was a good time to bring it up.
Hearthfell froze.
"You don't have to me! I just.... No one's ever kissed me before, and I just want to know why."
He sighed; he knew that he had to tell her sooner or later.
"Mary, I'm in love with you."
"Eh...EH??" Mary started blushing really hard, since she didn't expect that.
Hearthfell started to blush too. "I know I'm crazy, but it is true. You were nice to me even though I was cruel. And... You are so full of emotion, and I just wanted to experience it because I didn't have any."
Mary blushed harder. "Hearthfell...thank you. And you're not a bad person. I think that I could be your girlfriend."
Hearthfell looked at her. "Wait, what? Do you even like me?"
She giggled. "A little. You did save my life; girls want knights to save them in their life. And I have always wanted someone who can stand up to my scary-looking brother."
He put his hands on her shoulders. "Mary listen... Do you really think that you could really love a person with a personality as cold as mine?"
"Yep!"
He was happy; the fact that he had a small bit of hope for Mary to like him inside of him made him happier. But then he thought of something. "Is my cold personality why I'm called, "The Cold Creator"?"
She nodded, biting her lip.
He shrugged. "I don't care, I'm happy! I have a girlfriend!"
They laughed and Mary went really closer to him and kissed him. It was again, the best thing in the world.
They stayed that way for a while, until-
"PDA! HEARTHFELL IS KISSING MARY! PDA!"
-Until Daiko decided to rudely interrupt them.
They pulled away to find the rest of the Caravan watching them. Daiko had a big grin on her face, Alex was shrugging his shoulders. Jarred was nodding, Bella was touched. As for George....
"When I said that you could hang out with sis, IT DIDN'T MEAN THAT YOU COULD GO KISSING HER!"
Let's just say that he was angry.
He swung a fist at Hearthfell, who ducked and starting running away.
"COME BACK HERE YOU SIS PEDOPHILE!" George ran after him, with Bella, Jarred, and Mary behind them in attempt to stop them.
That left Alex and Daiko alone. At this time, Alex found it a good time to ask Daiko something.
"How is Zaecondis still alive? I saw him die."
Daiko paused for a moment, then said, "Since he's powerful, he can't die by normal means. He can also always regenerate, if he is fast enough."
"...We are close to that place aren't we? I mean, is still a few cites away, but... We'll see him next time, right?"
She took a deep breath. "Yes to both."

Next chapter starts my second favorite arc: Alex's. My favorite would be Daiko's, and my least favorite was Hearthfell's, so that's why it was so short.
