Addicted Pt. 1

The reader becomes addicted to medication after an accident and Todoroki struggles to get them clean

Modern AU

About a few months ago, you were recently involved in a car accident on your way to work. You suffered a concussion and a broken leg and you needed a few stitches on your side.

Once your husband Shoto heard what happened, he was on his way to the hospital and was ready to murder whoever caused you to end up in the hospital.

Once he arrived at the hospital, the doctors explained that the accident was caused by a drunk diver who only suffered minor injuries.

Shoto quietly entered the room and saw you lying there in the hospital bed. He saw your leg in the cast and resting on a pillow. Your face had minor cuts and bruises and a bandage wrapped around your head.

"My love, it's me. How are you feeling?" He asked softly. He wanted to rub your cheek but he was afraid that the slightest touch could break you.

"I'm in so much pain. Everything hurts." You forced out.

Todoroki leans down and placed a kiss on your cheek and wiped your tears away. "You're okay, it's okay." He gently shushes.

You stayed in the hospital for a few days, and the doctors prescribed you medication to help with the pain.

The doctors prescribed Opioids. But Todoroki didn't think that was the best idea.

The doctor assured him that you were given a smaller dose and that nothing will happen. Shoto, hate seeing you in so much pain so he reluctantly agreed and they started a prescription once you're released from the hospital.

Shoto took the guy to court, and you got a settlement of $500,000. Which you technically didn't need since your husband was loaded anyway. But it was either that or Shoto disposing the body of the guy who hit you.

Sometime later you were released from the hospital and had to go to physical therapy. It was unbearable at first, but you knew it was the only way to get better and it became the routine.

You would take your pills and go to Physical therapy. After about two months you were no longer given the Opioids, seeing that it's already done its part and you only went to Physical therapy every other week.

After another month, you felt off.

You started to have body aches and you became restless. You kept telling yourself it was nothing until you started having these headaches. It was almost like the same amount of pain from when you had the concussion.

You went into the bathroom and took some aspirin. You went to put the bottle back when you stopped. "I should take one more, so I know the headache is gone."

You take another, but before you closed the lid, you took one more and then went to go lay down.

4 aspirin pills.
