It was the day Shoto was waiting for for the longest. He was finally going to see you after all this time.

He was counting down the days until it was that time. He was back eating, he finally got decent sleep, and he was able to function just fine.

The tiniest downside was that your parents were trying everything to keep him from coming anywhere near you. But that was quickly resolved when you made it perfectly clear that you wanted to see your husband.

Without any more roadblocks, he was finally going to see you. Even though he was excited, he was also very nervous.

What if things aren't the same or you change your mind at the last minute and didn't want to see him.

He tried not to think that as much. He knew you wanted more than anything to see him as well.

When it was finally time to see you, Shoto packed a few things for you. Some of your favorite snacks and some strawberry milk for himself. And some more books for you to read.

Shoto got in the car, and just sat in the driveway for a while. His stomach was feeling queasy and his mouth was dry.

He was more nervous than he thought. After working up his courage, he finally starts up the car and makes his way towards the rehab center.

He arrived a little earlier than he expected, checked in, and talked to the nurses.

One escorted him to the room that you've been staying in and left him alone. He stood in the hallway for the longest time before taking a deep breath and slowly placed his hand on the handle.

The door opens with ease and he finally laid eyes on you for the first time.

You were currently occupied with something at the desk you were sitting at, the sound of Shoto closing the door softly caught your attention.

You two locked eyes and for the longest amount of time, you two didn't say anything.

Until you nearly stumbled out of your chair and jumped into his arms. Shoto held you in his arms and hugged you so tight that he almost snapped you in half.

He buried his face into your hair and takes in your scent. He couldn't help himself anymore, he sobbed softly into your hair. Those four months felt like years to him, he was just so happy that he finally had you in his arms again.

"I've missed you so much." Shoto muffles.

"I've missed you too." You say muffled into his chest.

After a while, you two break the hug. "I just want to look at you," Shoto says while holding your face in his hands.

You looked so healthy, and your skin a natural glow to it. And your eyes weren't red and bloodshot. You didn't look sickly as you did when you were taking pills.

"You look good."

"I feel good too. I'm so glad you came." You say excitedly.

"I see you've kept busy." Shoto says while looking at a few small art canvases.

"Yeah, I've been picking up a few extra hobbies since I've been here. Who knew I'd take up painting."

You point at one sitting on your desk. "That's a taco."

"What else did you paint?"

"Some nachos, and a milkshake, and a can of Pringles."

"Speaking of, I brought some of your favorite snacks." Shoto said while going into his bag.
